The main idea is to create a sandbox game with a very optimistic approach on sexual inter-species relationship that is based on conses and exploration instead of force and violence.   • Added guided toys to the gallery. The toys do now align and rotate towards the spots that can be penetrated. This makes the interaction easier.

  • Added “hip snap” to the gallery, which allows you to select a toy and snap it to your hip. This feature is available for normal and VR modes of the game and can be selected in the toy menu.

  • Added DevIsland 2.0. A new developer sandbox to test a fully new terrain and assets that I want to use for the terrain generator.

  • Changed the jumping mechanics of the game. Lowered the jump power when you stand while doubling the jump power when you sprint.

  • Increased the ray-casting offset for the ground detection to lower the risks for creatures falling through the terrain. Let me know if you still manage to fall through it!
  • Removed a miss-leading tool-tip from the DevIsland 2.0.

  • Added the Cinemachine framework to allow better third-person camera deployment.
  • Added a Cinemachine alternative camera control for FeralIsland. This control is for VR-mode only. If you play the core game you can now tilt the head of your HMD to slightly determine the direction of the creature you control. This system will be improved in future updates even more.

  • Big performance improvements for the island: After testing the Island on my VR-headsets, I discovered that the performance was pretty bad, for that reason I took my time to overall enhance the performance of the game. This update greatly enhances the performance of the core game, by the use of LOD systems, that disable a lot of stuff, that is not visible for the camera, or inactive. FPS on the island is now nearly 40% higher! There is however still room for even more optimization.
  • Improved the turning behavior for creatures in the core game.
  • Improved the collision detection for creatures in the core game when they collide with the ground surface. This prevents most instances of the creatures clipping through the ground.
Bugfixes:
  • Fixed a bug in which the dry humping was now loaded.
  • Fixed a bug in which the creature pivot-points in the core game where doubled game objects, resulting in strange turning behavior.

– Added an Alembic fluid simulation to the “slobbery things” dev-sandbox. Baked fluid sims require a lot of storage space. This build is significantly larger (500MB). I am still experimenting to find a nice middle ground in which those sims look nice while also do not require much space.
– Added the modding framework. This will when fully implemented allow adding models, animations, textures and more in a modular manner. There might be a dev-sandbox soon for the community to test this.

– Updated the weather and lighting system. This only ads some minor HDRP and SRP support tweaks and a different sky in the gallery.

Controls: Pretty much like the gallery and the character selection of FeralIsland. You can hover with WASD and rotate with the mouse. VR is currently not supported but I think about adding VR support once the drippy fluid sim for the breeding-device is added. Shift: Lets the felkin sprint. Successfully implemented fluid systems will be added to the core game.

  • Added a female solo scenario animation to the gallery called “Just the tip”, featuring toy play interaction. This scenario includes a total of 3 sexy animations.
  • Added the male felkin to the selection menu of the dev-island. You can now click on the gender button to swap the gender and explore the island as a male beast.
  • Added a sprinting animation to the dev-sandbox. Use shift to sprint while exploring the island.
  • Added two new idle animations to the dev-island. These two animations are a laying and a yawning animation. After some time the felkin will start to yawn when laying on the ground. You can rest as a felkin when you hold ctrl.
  • Added a dexterity bar to the bottom right side of the dev-island UI. The dexterity bar is drained when you run and refreshes automatically when you stop sprinting.  (There is currently no negative effect to traveling speed when the bar is drained to not punish testers for exploring the island. But effects will be added in the future when there are more ways to refresh the bar. Lowering dexterity from a creature you want to tame, before you do so will be a very important mechanical layer. :>)
  • Added a first person PoV-Camera mode to the gallery. You can toggle the camera modes by pressing the new camera icon in the header tool bar of the gallery.  This feature is also available in VR-mode. Also added multiple new PoV target camera points for the LewdRaptor(old & new), Mystic dragon and the shunamir to the gallery for an immersive first person experience.
  • Added an updated version of the fur shader. This enables some awesome things in the future like for example GPU-Instancing(Not implemented in this version) which will greatly improve rendering time of the creature fur. This version also improves the currently implemented CPU-Instanced version of the fur shells. Giving it overall improvement and increase to FPS in rendering furred creatures.
  • Added an improved volumetric light layer to gallery. (This only works in normal mode, because of performance reasons)
  • Added more QoL and functional features to the PoV camera. Position tracking is now disabled to avoid floating away and UI grab is now always active while in the creature PoV.
  • Added a “Back to main menu” button to the gallery that is only available in VR mode. This allows entering the main menu without using the keyboard.
  • Reworked big parts of the scenario handling to allow dynamic and interactive scenarios in the future.
  • Added a new class to handle multiple creature PoVs for cameras.

  • Added a new VR dev sandbox called “the hunt”. This female solo demo scene will be released in two parts where you meet Rainbow the female felkin. Once stable enough this scene will be added to the core game.
  • Added Oculus Rift S and CV1 support to FeralIsland. This updates is bringing the VR interaction for Oculus Rift CV1 and S users close to the level of the latest Vive versions. The following interactive features were added:  Interact with the UI , Grabbing the UI and to put it in the left hand, selecting toys from the menu and using them, squeezing and jiggling soft physic spots with the pointer.  Currently still missing Oculus features:  Using the hands to jiggle the soft physics on collision/touching the spots like in the Vive version.
  • Added  collision detection for Oculus controllers to jiggle thighs, vagina, penis sheath, balls, teats and more.
  • Added overall better collision responses for Vive and Oculus users when petting ferals with hands.
  • Greatly increased the FPS (up to 20 fPS) and improved the visuals in “the hunt” dev sandbox. The lighting setup is also much clearer, I added a lens dirt effect, chromatic aberration, and fine fur. I also rotated the car a bit to display rainbow from her best side. <3
  • Added menu labels to the main menu to better distinguish between dev sand boxes and Unity demos.
  • Added rainbows correct material color in the courtyard dev sandbox.
  • Added a collision detection for VR controllers. When in VR mode, controllers now can jiggle feral body parts such as thighs, sheath, balls, teats and more. You need to swing the controllers in a slow speed at the parts you want to jiggle to trigger that effect.
  • Added two variant assets for Rainbow in the new dev sandbox to make her more unique. Buttfluff and Tailtip.
  • Added an improved tail tip for rainbow in the new sand box scene.
Changes:
  • Changed the fur loader framework to load the fur shells quicker.
  • Increased the collision detection range for the toy interaction.
  • Greatly decrease the size of the compiled game from 1.2GB to 700MB.
  • Changed the size of the Oculus player camera in the gallery to increase immersion and to bring it to the same level as the Vive and the normal mode camera.
Bugfixes:
  • Fixed a bug that was causing the game to crash when the fur shaders where visible.
  • Fixed a bug that did not display the vive controllers properly when the game was loaded the first time.
  • Fixed a bug in which a text field was wrongly displayed in normal mode.
  • Fixed a bug in which moving in the gallery was sometimes behaving in a strange way in VR mode. This was caused by a single wrong equation that added two clamped values instead of multiplying them.

What is VR Ferals
VR_Ferals is an adult-themed fully interactive virtual reality simulation, that uses most modern virtual reality devices (but can be also used without VR device).
It will be possible to pose your models and to re-arrange parts of the 3d environment and build-in 3D-assets, create animations and customize your 3d models.
VR_Ferals also uses physics for limb simulation and will use this physics engine for particles in a later state.
