Bare Backstreets [v0.1.1b] [Team Amorous]

Here’s that side project we’ve been working on over the last few months! Play as Vergence as he must combat waves of feisty enemies, all hampering to get a piece of his tail. We kept the three button formula while sprinkling in some added depth.

Fixes

Boss should no longer moonwalk off the stage, and should trigger sex scene
Melee Weapon hitboxes no longer fly off into space
Golden Tazer no longer has infinite ammo
Camera Tracker functions properly after the player respawns
Minigame now responds to the direction of the player’s input
Verge should no longer develop a glitched skin (otherwise known as “become the universe” bug)
The ground check for Enemies and the Player is now larger and more accurate

Other

Camera offset so that the player is on the left side of the screen
Character shadows are darker
Add a Destroy Zone under the map that will destroy anything that passes through it except the player
Easy mode increases total lives by 1
Power up times extended from 10 seconds to 20 seconds
Enemies will get up faster when on the ground and not visible by the Player’s Camera (Note: Not Visible means the entirety of the object is off screen)
- They will also run faster if not visible
Input tab in game’s launcher window is cleaner
Frame rate was capped at 120 fps
Player now flashes green when grappling is on cool down

There may be more undocumented changes present in the patch.

Fixes

Satyr E no longer gets stuck on the ground
Grappling the Gator Boss has been temporarily disabled for now (until the system has been revamped)
The lives counter properly displays the current lives when starting on easy mode
The navmesh for the stage no longer goes into buildings
- Enemies should not even be able to get there in the first place

Other

Added a version number to the main menu (current version: Version 0.1.1b)

Known issues

Remapping controls was not a planned feature so it may break if attempted
- Control names had been changed and some unused ones were removed to make the input tab in the player settings window (the window right before the game) neater.

Cheats

1. Open the game

2. Go to options and set the difficulty to Hard

3. Open BBSModder.exe on the same path that the game executable (BBS.exe) is located and quickly skip the update check (or wait until it finishes, either way it will fail to update)

4. Modify the trainer’s options to your heart’s content and then start a new game
