Crossed Signals [v0.3.0] [Cinnamon Switch]

You may remember that on day 2, Sam gets his phone confiscated during math class, but remembers to grab it when class is over. This has been turned into a choice. If Sam forgets to grab his phone, then Nicole gets a little curious…

With any new route, we just can’t resist adding new characters. Nicole needed some adult friends to bounce off, plus they’ll help fill out the school staff’s roster.

The Japanese teacher from Jennyswap now gets a sprite and name: Melody St. Clair.

As for this fashionable lady, she’ll be appearing in Violet’s route as the cheer coach.

And of course, any new route wouldn’t be complete without new outfits and new poses. Doesn’t Sam look cute in his new body? I think so.

TheTransformistress has been very excited to draw CGs for Nicole, and that really shows through with not one, but two PoV CGs that kick off the route! These two are especially steamy, taking place in a much different location than Violet’s and Jenny’s.

For Violetswap, we’ve also gone back and added CG sketches for Violet, Sam, and Eric spending time on the couch, and then Sam and Eric playing games afterward. It was one of those scenes that felt especially fitting for a CG, given all of the fun little interactions between the characters.

Kim Rinzley has added another finished background to the pile: Jenny’s apartment! Doesn’t it look cozy? I wish I had an apartment this nice in college; I hope her rent is reasonable…

With as many CGs as we’ve added, it was high time we added a CG gallery to the game. It’s fun to see how many we’ve accrued so far. Just imagine how big it’ll look when the game is complete!

We wanted Crossed Signals to wow readers with lots of art up front, but that meant we had to sketch a lot and find time to finish up later. That time is now! Four CGs and several insert illustrations from the first two days of Sam’s story are now fully illustrated by our own Transformistress, including two centerpiece CGS. The POV illustrations at the start of both the Violet and Jenny routes are both complete and ready to view in their full glory! We even added some fun blur effects and parallax scrolling to add to the immersion of Sam finding himself in a different body.

We also included introductory CGs for Danny and Robin as well, meaning all of the main cast now has a fully-illustrated debut in the story!

We’ve also got just as many Coffee Buns CGs finished this time, include the volleyball CG, the Roman catch CG, and Ash’s beach transformation, as well as a completed version of the Day 3 intimate scene by UltraBondageFairy! The previous version was more than a sketch, but the final version now has even more polish you expect from UBF.

Our other artists KDhynamo and Heart have also been hard at work, bringing a whole new background and new outfits for characters! Naomi, Ash, and Bonnie have completed pajamas, and Roman’s had his outfit buffed, literally! We improved his musculature, that is.

Debbie also has a completed sprite to take in! Real Debbie, that is.

There’s only a little bit of new story to read this update, a self-inspection scene that was teased at the end of the Ash sleepover last update. It currently includes some WIP art from UBF and details Leo getting acquainted with is new anatomy. We hope you find it as sexy and educational as he did!

Our composer from Mice Tea is back to lend his talents to Coffee Buns but contributing the first original track in the form of Leo’s theme! As the tune for the main character of our story, it’s going to set a lot of the groundwork for the whole project. We think it’s a great addition and fits our protagonist fantastically.

On the character side of things, Transformiss added a whopping eight swimsuits, split across a portion of the male and female cast! She had a lot of fun drawing these. For backgrounds, we’ve added a finished version of Jenny’s bedroom by KimRinzley, along with a brand new beach background!

Adding to the fun, a new character also makes an appearance today: Bob Birch, Violet’s dad.

This day also comes with a finished version of Nicole’s intro CG and two brand new, finished CGs. One of which being first sexy CG of the game, where Sam and Jenny finally explore each other’s bodies a bit more… intimately.

This was especially fun to write. While Jenny may have taken things in stride, Violet isn’t nearly as amenable about this situation.

And much like another fashionista, Violet actually has two routes planned! One where Sam and Violet spend a lot more effort impersonating each other, and this one where the cat comes of the bag very early on.

And that’s not all! Along with the usual swapped character sprites and a CG sketch, we also get to see a glimpse of two new characters! Bre and Charlotte, Violet’s cheer friends.
