Secrets of the Valley tells the story of a man who ran away from a troubled past in search of a future worth living.

Leaving home for the last time, he moves in with his father’s associate, in a community simply known as The Valley.
Though blessed with a scenic mountain view and many expensive homes, nothing about this new place seems to distinguish it from thousands of other small cities around the world. At first, this seems ideal to a man eager to bury the mistakes of his past forever.
Soon enough, however, he will come to realize that he may not be alone in coming to The Valley in search of peaceful anonymity…and that there are some kinds of trouble from which a man cannot hide.
In Secrets of the Valley, you’ll have the chance to guide the path of our hero. You’ll become involved in the wealthy community in which he’s settled, exploring interesting locations and meeting compelling characters along the way. You’ll learn secrets about these places and people that you can choose to keep in confidence or use for your own benefit. And once you’ve done all this, it will be your choices that will determine the way in which you’ll satiate your curiosity about those characters you find most interesting and satisfy your deepest desires.

-New game interface: Now the stats, money, clock, map etc are together in the top right corner. Cleaner and intuitive interface.

-Scene Tracker: This is a ingame feature to help players to find events and track what is finished or what is still available to be done.

-Image Gallery: An image gallery is a system that allows the player to unlock images through the story, and then view those images whenever he wants.

-Replay Gallery: This function allow the player to quickly revisit some completed scenes whenever he wants.

-Day and Night: Now the night time is properly represented. After 21:00 the ambience will be darker.

-Main screen: Reworked, it is more alive. With each new update the background will get a new image.

Phone: The phone system is merged into the new interface.

Longer transitions: Longer scene transitions removed, all transitions are set to default 0.5s.

Unnecessary talk: When the player visited the rooms without any event trigger he received messages such as “Nothing to do here”. This was a bit annoying for some players.

– Improved dialogs and narration: Basically all sentences have been improved, the game now conveys greater immersion and has perfect English writing. Contributions from ‘The Raven King’ our proofreader and script assistant.

– Bugfix: Using CTRL or the skip button, the engine allows the player to skip quickly through the text and scenes (native function). This caused the problem that items from previous screens remained on the screen. Scenes coding were improved, everything seems to work fine now.

– Added a flat color background for the main menu options. The main background was used in all menus, causing color conflict and difficulty to read some options.

– Added language selection when first running the game. If needed, it’s possible to change language from Preferences menu.

– Added language selection within the “preferences” menu.

– Added Portuguese translation.

– Added new images:

– Images added to the scene where MC and Norma are walking towards the camp for smoother transition between scenes.

– Images added new scenes during the date with Norma, bringing smoother scenes transitions and leaving implicit traits of her personality.

– Images added final scene when the dating with Norma is finishing, suggesting something about her.

– Renderings redone: some camp images were redone to better illustrate the new dialogues.

– Removed the possibility of eating in the kitchen until I find a better ideia.
