Meet Poppy, a sharp-tongued, no-nonsense girl, and her boyfriend Finn. Tyler will be spending some time with them. Optional gay content involving Finn is available for those interested—but if that’s not your thing, no worries. Poppy alone packs quite a punch.

Note: Side characters in Ashes of Purity come with intense, fast-paced story arcs that resolve quickly—often within just a few episodes. But don’t worry: once their arc is over, they won’t disappear. Ashes of Purity is a choice-driven visual novel, but it’s important to note that most decisions revolve around preferences and fetishes—they rarely alter the overall story progression. The narrative itself follows a mostly linear structure focused on character development and corruption.

Many of the game’s fetishes are entirely optional. Themes such as sharing, prostitution, extreme humiliation, and gay content will only occur if you actively opt into them. If those paths aren’t chosen, they will not occur in your playthrough.

However, since the game revolves around themes of moral decline and corruption, a few light fetish elements are not optional. For example, while sharing is avoidable, public sex and exhibitionism with the MC are part of the core experience and cannot be disabled.

Male characters typically branch into one of two categories: either they are involved in gay content, or they experience cuckolding by the MC—these paths vary by your choices.

This is our first project, and we’re fully committed to improving and expanding it based on player feedback.

Q: Will there be netorare in the game?

No. The MC is very dominant, and netorare wouldn’t fit this game even if I wanted to include it.

Q: How does sharing and prostitution work in the game?

The game follows your initial choices. If you allow prostitution, the MC can sell your girls to strangers. If sharing is allowed, characters like Koen may share them — but only with your permission. When a sharing moment comes up, an in-game menu will ask if you want to share with specific characters like Koen. Changes take effect immediately.

Q: Can I block sharing with specific characters?

Yes, you can always use the in-game menu to block sharing with certain characters like Koen. This decision is immediate and won’t be overridden later without your consent. Sharing and prostitution aren’t constant, long-term gameplay features — they either happen in the moment or not at all.

For example, when with Lily, you’ll get a menu:

“Invite Koen?”

Yes: Lily, Koen, and you together.
No: Only Lily and you.

Q: Will there be unwanted or buggy sharing?

I want this process to be smooth because, as a player and supporter myself, I hate when developers trick players into unwanted sharing after hours of playing or donating. If a bug causes unwanted sharing, it will be fixed quickly. Thanks for understanding — the game is still in development.

Q: What kind of adult content is optional or mandatory?

Since the game focuses on moral decline and corruption, some light fetish elements are mandatory. Sharing can be blocked, but public sex and exhibitionism with the MC are core and cannot be turned off. For example, the MC and Lily can have sex in front of Koen, but if you exclude Koen, no sharing will happen.

Q: How balanced are sharing, prostitution, and gay content?

The system balances all these elements. For example, if gay content is on, you’ll have scenes with both Poppy and Finn, with more focus on Finn. If it’s off, you’re with Poppy and Finn acts as a cuckold, watching sadly.
