When your sister appears to be struggling at school, you are tasked with getting to the bottom of what’s really happening to her, and finding a way to stop it. It’s a text-heavy adventure, with illustrative images of the town and its inhabitants peppered throughout. Full day and night system, quest log, inventory and spells, NPCs with their own schedules and motivations, and above all multiple ways to approach all the problems, based on how you want to play.

v0.1.9 – Act 1 Refactor
Huge undertaking – the codebase has been migrated by the Twine desktop app to VS Code, along with refactoring the data files to reduce memory bloat and make save files compatible going forward. Please note – Minimal new content(!). This is really preparing the codebase for the implementation of Act 2. Please note – I’ve tested this as much as I can, but given this was a huge technical undertaking I’m expecting bugs to be reported. There will no doubt be 0.1.91, 0.1.92, etc, over the coming week(s).

03/10/25 – 0.1.8 – Different for Girls (Release)
And there we have it. Act 1 complete. It’s been about a year since Act 1 was released and I’m happy to say all content in the original design doc is now implemented. A brief summary below, but I’ve avoided going into detail as there’s a lot of nice surprises for those who go in blind (I feel).
New Content
- Completion of the “Different for Girls” quest, involving brand new content for the school, new characters, new magical effects. (including a homage to an old game that is one of my favourites)
- New content for weekends and in Charlton, including gym activities and giving something more to do in the AV Room at the Library with Dennis.
Features
- Changes to the character screen, to support a new buff system
- New physical transformation system implemented
Bugs / Known Issues
- Lots of typos and continuity errors fixed.
- Known issue: The events system still doesn’t stack or prioritise. It’s low on my list to address right now.
- Liz changing the amulet still makes stats go mad. Still need to look at this.
- There is at least one continuity error where a character can appear when they shouldn’t be able to (vague for spoilers). I don’t know if this is the only one, so I’ll wait to fix in a bug release.
Next steps
0.1.2 – Act 2 – I’ve been actively writing Act 2 in tandem with this. It’s a massive undertaking, which means it will be a while until the next release. As a hint, there’s a splashscreen in the offline files and on Discord.

- Fixed a number of bugs to do with post-It’s Happening Again game state to do with Annie and Jennifer, including access to their apartments and transformations not triggering correctly
- Fixed Terrence outside the school. You should be able to try to convince him that you can tutor him repeatedly.

This is probably the most complex in terms of quest design I’ve done. It’s a mixed bag – some of it works, other parts of it might be a little railroad’y. There’s a lot of choice and consequence hidden in the quest lines, so I’m sure they’ll be some fixes required.

Not bugs?
There’s potentially some ‘bugs’ been reported that are due to using old saves. Unfortunately I’ve had to update the main base data, so old saves before 0.1.6 won’t work perfectly. These are what I’m attributing to them:
- Problems with triggering the bad grades ending when Emily has an F – Triggers for me in YourRoom in the morning after getting an F. Old save issue, I think.
- If accepting Headmaster tuition during lunch, then when entering the headmasters office during lunch the game will loop and you will not be able to leave the office again, and the only you can do is to reload the game to get out of it. Old save issue, I think.
- deBussy’s notebook doesn’t actually give you a rumor? – It gives you access to a location, but it isn’t classified as a rumour so you don’t get the notification. I will look at this in an upcoming release.
Still unresolved
- Problems with Greedy displaying when talking to Jackie (not rendering as [Greedy XX 45 ] when you are under 45. Can’t seem to locate this
- Different Bug – “Ditzy” trait will not allow you to complete office work at Thompson’s. Can’t replicate
- Another to do with stats – feels like I need to do another pass, as there’s stuff with the modifiers and different characters that needs some real consideration. Possibly next release.
- There’s a bug somewhere with flirt somehow going negative. Haven’t managed to replicate it, so it’s in here for the time being.
- There’s a potential bug on the Quest for Identity, where the quest state is ahead of events. I can’t replicate it, so will try and find it in future releases
03/05/25 – 0.1.6 – Bad endings and good rewards
And this one took – well, a long time. About as long as I thought. This is one of the more significant updates. I think it’s free of major bugs, but there’s some new systems in place that I’m sure will cause issues. Also, this doesn’t advance the story. I won’t start that until after 0.1.8 (see below). Two things I’m increasingly of:
1) There’s a lot of emphasis on this one on the relationships, corruption and sexism. Sometimes releases just skewer towards certain content, but I’m conscious of this. I want to make sure there’s lighter content to balance the sexism and also there’s more transformation content (although this probably won’t be until Act 2 – there’s a lot already in Act 1 on this).
2) The game as it stands need a balance pass. It’s set up this way to account for Act 2 and new content. For this, I’m looking to move into Act 2 sooner rather than later.
Content
- Emily grades – Emily’s grades increasing or decreasing will now trigger scenes and content.
- Emily drops out of school – let Emily’s grades drop too much and you’ll get the first bad ending.
- Work Performance – New content and scenes triggered as your work performance increases or decreases.
- Fired – The PC can now get fired, causing a new Cash Flow mechanic. They’ll have to use the jobs around town to support Emily and themselves
- New Andrea maid content – To support the cash flow mechanic, rewritten all the scenes when you work as Andrea
- New Florence content – Also to support the cash flow mechanic, rewritten all the scenes when you work as Florence
- Emily Maid Job – Now available. This will contribute towards Cash Flow. Alternatively, you can send Emily to work in the hotel for tips
- Cash Flow events – Content and scenes triggered as this goes up or down
- Bankrupt – Second bad ending. If you run out of money, you’ll get the second bad ending.
Features
- Casual mode toggle at beginning for those who don’t want to play with bad endings possible
- Compulsions now have an impact. Mostly on new content, but work performance can now be impacted by (one of) them
- Four new NSFW scenes. Not the focus of the game again, but make sense in the context (or at least in a game like this).
Known issues
- Still events can stack on top of each other (so multiple in one period). I know how to code around this now, but I have to investigate how much of the events it breaks.
- Annie still talks about you working at Thompson’s on the evening date. It’s a complex array that I’m going to revise in the next update, so leaving in until the next release.
- There’s a bug somewhere with flirt somehow going negative. Haven’t managed to replicate it, so it’s in here for the time being.
- There’s a potential bug on the Quest for Identity, where the quest state is ahead of events. I can’t replicate it, so will try and find it in future releases
- The game needs a pass at balancing. The default is that the stats stay at middle of the road, which doesn’t trigger content. That said, as this is the first act of the game, some of these systems are designed for the long-term. So hence I’ll leave it for now.
- The stats are still not quite right – the states modifiers are causing some irregular issues. I’ll tidy this up in future releases.
Amended roadmap
After some consideration, I’ve amended the roadmap to the following:
- 0.1.7 – Annie and Jennifer – Revamp of content for both of them, making them better characters and maybe building on why they don’t get along
- 0.1.8 – Quests and actions – Tying up loose ends for Act 1, including the “Different for Girls” quest, UI overhaul in some areas (like the Quest log) and generally tidying things up.
- 0.2.0 – Act 2
You’ll notice that I’ve decided to move the secret 0.1.9. This is mainly because I want to get into Act 2 as soon I can, opening up new transformations and locations and characters. That’s not to say that 0.1.9 isn’t coming, but if it does it will be released closer to 0.2.0 so I can assess the impact it will have on the next chapter of Charlton.

This one turned out much easier that hoped. It is mainly making Emily more reactive, so no new scenes beyond Emily reacting to your antics. 0.1.6 will contain all new content for the PC to get up to, so for those waiting for all-new, might be worth waiting until the next release.

- The dream conversation reappears in Liz’s dialogue tree – It shouldn’t do, unless you’ve flipped gender. If so, that’s a known limitation with the current dialogue system
- Drinking the potion at 100 femininity intending to reset femininity to zero will not reset it. Can’t replicate this or see in the code what might be causing this
- Something is locking you out from being able to ask Annie out for a date at a certain point, but can’t understand how this is occurring
- Liz tampering with the amulet still can make your femininity shoot up very fast. It’s intentional to a point, but probably a bit too much. Will keep it as is for now, until a balancing pass for Act 1.
- Reagan not appearing at the hotel, but I can’t seem to trigger this.
- There’s an <> error being triggered (possibly around the teaching Liz ward scene) but I can’t seem to reproduce it.
23/02/25 – 0.1.41 – Bug fixes
Didn’t think I’d be getting a bug release out so soon, but a few things were raised that really impacted the new content. So enjoy!

- There’s a bit of refactoring initial stats (as there usually will be in the content releases) so saved games for any 0.1.3X releases may not be compatible.

- QuestState system upgraded – So that should eliminate any bugs to do with Quest States not being recognised by the game.
- Fixed a bug with Logain Business Studies request – Bad Passage name, plus also time advancing to the next morning
- Updated the Emily corruption advancement. It’s now a bit quicker, but reflective of the changes you make to the curses

- Introduced an event system, triggering events under certain conditions
- Tasks introduced (but not visible in menu yet) so track things that aren’t quests, but allow you to gain favour with NPCs

- The amount of options for Andrea interactions has led to some very complex code. I think I’ve got it working, but I’ll refactor this in the next major release. Save delaying this release another two weeks though, I’m going to leave it as it. Please let me know if you encounter issues.
- There’s a known bug where you can get changed for your date, then do something else, and the game will still recognise you in that costume the next day at the date (presuming you’ve changed). Not addressing it in this release, as I’m reworking outfits in an upcoming release anyway.
