To run this game without errors, you need to change both your system locale and your system locale for non-Unicode Programs to Japanese!

To change both your system locales:
1. Open Control Panel
2. Press on “Region”
3. Change it so that Japanese is selected under format, then hit apply
4. Switch to the second Tab (called “Administrative” in English). Click on the bottom option “Language for non-Unicode Programs”
Here, also select Japanese as your Locale. Then hit OK and your PC will restart.
