Devlog #1 – Dream Journey v0.1.0 Launch

The time has finally come to introduce Dream Journey v0.1.0.

After a lot of work, planning, and worldbuilding, the first public version of the game is ready to go live. This release marks the official beginning of a story centered around drama, personal reconstruction, meaningful choices, and a path shaped by pain, ambition, and opportunity.

In Dream Journey, you follow the life of a 27-year-old protagonist who loses his job and discovers his wife’s betrayal, watching his life fall apart all at once. But in the middle of that collapse, a new possibility begins to take shape: using his marketing experience to enter an unexpected industry and build a new future from it.

What you can expect in v0.1.0

This first version introduces the foundation of the game and the beginning of the protagonist’s journey.

It includes:

The full opening of the story
The setup behind the protagonist’s downfall
The first major emotional impact involving Ashley
Emily’s introduction and the first glimpse of a new opportunity
The moment where the agency idea starts to take shape

About the project
Dream Journey is an adult visual novel with a strong focus on dramatic storytelling and career simulation, developed in Ren’Py. The goal is to deliver an experience that blends emotional character development, impactful scenes, and a progression system that gradually expands the protagonist’s life inside a world of management, strategy, and relationships.

Update schedule
Dream Journey will receive a new update every two weeks.

The public version of the game will always remain free, while Patreon supporters will get access to the most recent version as soon as it is released.

The goal is to keep the project moving forward consistently, bringing new story developments, expanded mechanics, new character moments, and general improvements with each version.

This is just the beginning
v0.1.0 represents only the first step of the project. There is still a lot to expand in terms of story, content, systems, characters, and overall direction. The goal is to let the game grow in a solid way, update after update, building something bigger and more immersive over time.
