A couple things:
-The travel maps mechanic is the last major feature/mechanic to be integrated into the game. From here on out, we’ll just be adding depth to ALL of existing systems and improving on them, such as combat, enemy AI, etc.
-The next focus now, is on (finally) the Mages of Palam quest(s) and wrapping up Captain Nyx for Act 1, before moving on towards finally wrapping up Act 1’s main quests and leaping ahead with the story (with Regina content). We’ve already made a start gathering assets and things already~

1.) “Where did quickstart go? I remember it being a thing… “ – Quickstart was a temporary measure in early builds due to save incompatability between launches. Save compatability should now work between builds, so the quickstart feature has been removed. NOTE: Make multiple saves as you play, there is a small chance depending on WHERE you save, it could bug-out, so keep back-ups.
2.) “Will my save work transfering between Steam and Patreon?” – Yes, though we don’t exactly recommend it, it has been reported that it still works – but additional bugs may follow.
3.) I played a WIP quest and got rail-roaded into content I don’t like!” – WIP stands for work in progress, as in, this quest is not yet complete. WIP quests may not have all their content available, including preferred branching paths. You play any quest marked as WIP at your own discretion knowing this.
4.) “Why is my game acting glitchy?” – Report any bugs to the discord bug-report section – Include as much information as possible, including whether you are playing PC, MAC or APK – include a save if possible and the full crash report (if there is one) including details around the bug itself – thank you.
5.) “I don’t like X fetish” – All fetishes within the game are as optional as we can make them. The game aims to be as open an rpg as possible. Be an adult, respect other people want different experiences from the game than you.
6.) “Where’s the gallery?” – Speak to the soothsayer (Babazhul) in the Brothel District and pay to see the past.
7.) “Where cheat codes?” – Officially, cheat codes are given out to patrons and subscribers only and are altered with every new release, they may end up leaking here, but this is against the wishes of the team.
You can find cheat codes in-game by heading to the options menu and inputting cheat codes there. If you have input them in correctly, a small rose will appear in the top right of your screen in-game.
8.) “Patch?” – Any patch or mod for the game is not officially recognized or approved by the team, you alter the game at your own risk and discretion.
9.) “Why is the art different in places?” – PB is made up of multiple talented artists handling different roles. I.e, one artist may just handle character designs, one may just handle lewd scenes, etc, etc…
Some artists and staff have previously left development for one reason or another, while we strive to tighten up art discrepencies as much as possible, there’s only so much we can do without wasting months on revamps, and, as each artist tends to have their own ‘styling’ replacement artists may have additional small discrepencies.
Replacing an artist isn’t like replacing the wheel of a car.
While we hope to keep our work as high-quality as possible, we hope you understand.
10.) “This combat section is unbalanced and jank.” – PB is a game in early access, this means it is still under development. Some sections may need additional balancing and whatever. If you have issues, please report them over on the discord, and we can hopefully improve upon whatever battle/skill/whatever’s balancing.
11.) “How do I get XP in PB? Why can’t I just grind?” – You acquire XP in PB by completing quests, unique fight encounters, and by sleeping with new characters, (one time XP gain). The point of PB is not to just grind away slaying the same enemy x1000 for XP points – it’s boring design because every problem is solved *just* by grinding and not actually thinking. XP is limited in order for us to more tightly control balancing, and to force YOU to try and think more strategically how you handle your character points.
12) “Why no rollback?” – Because it causes bugs and make the game feel very ‘floaty’ – In short, we don’t like it. Feel free to add a mod if you want, but if it breaks your save or game, there’s nothing we can do.
13.) “Why this mod break my game?” – Dunno, ask the modder.
14.) “AI?” – No, PB is created by actual artists. While we stil reserve the right to use AI if need be, we have people working around the clock. AI was initially mentioned as a possible temp/emergency solution around one artist, the details of which can be found following the “Regarding AI” button.
15.) “When will X character recieve an update?” – Characters recieve an update when they do – there are multiple characters, plot threads and other thing in PB, unless we say “X character is planned for content with this update” or is announced as the main focus of this update, your favorite character will get an update… eventally.
16.) “How long will PB in development?” – A few years minimum, this is a sprawling RPG being handcrafted by a passionate team of indie developers. While we plan to expand upon the media in other ways as well to provide as much content as possible, we expect to be in development a while.
17.) “I heard you’re making a side project – development will grind to a halt!” – Any side projects are developed by our B-teams who don’t work directly on the main game. It affects the main game’s progress minimally to non-existent.
