This is a Ren’Py conversion of Perestrelo’s “Family Life” QSP game, with Spectre1viper’s additional material, plus a fully-integrated cheat system.

You play as a depraved married father of two beautiful daughters, trying to corrupt friends, family, and neighbors.
This is a sandbox-type game with lots of choices and paths, and a huge variety of sexual content. Most sexual acts can be avoided.

Version 1.0.0 contains the final release of the game, although small bug fix patches may still be posted. If you’ve already played v0.1.4 there is no need to play this version as well, because there is no new content.

Installation:

1. Download and extract base game.

2. Optionally download the event packs (.rpa files) and put in the ‘game’ folder of the base game. The event packs are optional and contain images only needed later in the game. You can download them at any time, so you can get started playing the base game without them..

3. Download the latest patch file, if any. Extract the contents to the main folder of the base game (the folder containing FamilyLife.exe, above the ‘game’ folder), agreeing to overwrite any files. This should replace all the .rpy files in the game folder, and add some missing images. The patch file can also be applied even if a previous patch has already been applied.

Changelog:

Added some minor additional features, such as the ability to cheat items, and replaced a few low-quality gifs with better images. There is no new story content. If you’ve already played an earlier version, there’s no need to play this one.

This version contains several bug fixes and additional features, including:

In trigger descriptions, indicate which person the MC should talk to (thanks Sazhm).
In trigger descriptions, show minimum day constraints (thanks Claudio83).
In trigger descriptions, show probability for random events (they still show up green in the in-game highlighting only if you’re going get a successful random number at the current time).
Paths between the mall and home are now properly highlighted (thanks finndem).
Fixed issue with being unable to repeatedly give gifts (thanks seadart123).
Added missing threads to thread board. Some of these are needed to start more important threads, like ginaLola (thanks Donho78 and trashhumper).
Added user control of which threads have highlighted hints (thanks finndem).
Added Locate, Threads, and Quick Menu buttons directly to the main screen (The L, T, and Q beside the hamburger – this illustrates my lack of artistry in creating icons!) (thanks taler and Baka plays).
Reduced NPC icon cycling. Now a fixed icon is used when the relationship is low, another as it gets higher, and then a randomly-selected one when the relationship is very high (by which time it’s hoped you have a better idea of who is who). I can’t figure out how to make a tool tip showing the girl’s name. (thanks Johny Alfa and Baka plays).
Changed font size and button placement for smaller screens. A huge thank-you to taler for implementing this!
Added ability to unblock any blocked thread. This will allow it’s content to start playing immediately, so only use it when you’re ready to start that thread.
Fixed bug with Tamara Party thread (thanks kinghell).
Fixed an issue where is was difficult to talk to Johnny at the strip club (thanks ChaosDancer).
Modified the city map to disable locations that are currently closed, and to hide locations that haven’t been found yet (thanks Johny Alfa)

Bug fixes – fixed ginaSeduce3 trigger, gift giving bug, sleeping Nanny image, mood cheat bug, and foxyModel thread images. Activated relationship cheating at a lower threshold (now available once relationship >= 200).

Initial Release – this version will have bugs, but contains all the content of the original game.

Developer Notes:

The point of this remake is to make the game playable and enjoyable for mere mortals who don’t have months to spare randomly clicking on things desperately hoping something will happen. The game includes a sophisticated built-in cheat mechanism that allows the player to control the level of difficulty in the game. In particular, you can make use of “location highlighting” for suggestions on where to go next, and check out the “thread board” to see how much progress you’ve made (and help find events).

The event packs only contain images and videos. These are not expected to change as bugs are fixed in the base game.

There are no plans to add additional content to the game.

Game Hint FAQ:

It’s basically impossible without cheating. The proper way is to start a new game, not get your wife to forgive you, play the game for 92 days without talking to your wife, and then go to the pool on Saturday night at 9pm. That may work, but it’s not much fun.

The other way is to click on the title of Laura’s “Cheat” thread in the thread board and select “Abort thread lauraCheat”, and then click on the title again and select “Force enable lauraCheat”. Then go to the pool on Saturday night. It would probably be a good idea to finish the lauraShare thread first, or else you may have events from the different threads interfering with each other.

You need to have the vibrator (the regular-sized one, not the big one). Unfortunately there’s no easy way for me add this to the cheat system. Thanks to RandMierdin for pointing this out.

Event Packs

The base game contains a lot of content and will keep you busy for many hours. The event packs contain images for additional events that can be played after you’ve played most of the content in the base game. Only download these three event packs if you enjoy the game. When you install a new event pack just reload your game from a save and the new content will automatically be available. To install the event packs, just put the downloaded event1.rpa, event2.rpa, and/or event3.rpa files in the ‘game’ folder (the same folder that already contains event0.rpa).
