Hey, dev here. Quick rundown of what this is and why I made it.

I grew up on old dark fantasy RPGs, and I’ve always had a soft spot for slow corruption stories where the heroine actually pushes back. What bugged me is how often those lean on hypnosis or a cursed collar to get her there. I wanted her wide awake for every step. So I flipped the perspective. Aimee wrote down fourteen things she’d never do, and she’s the one who sits at the table and sells them off, one at a time, because her partner Murash is dying of rift poison and the medicine costs more than she’ll ever make guarding a gate.

You play Kaelan Ashgrove, the rich border noble with the gold and a copy of her list. Mornings you pick a line and put money down. She can take it, haggle you up, or tell you to get lost. Afternoons you two go fight whatever crawled out of the rift, one scripted battle, no grind. Evenings you sit in your study with a scrying crystal and watch what she does when she thinks she’s alone.

Her portrait is put together from 30+ layers, so whatever she agreed to that morning is right there in the next scene. Nothing quietly resets.

Installation:

Windows: Extract the .zip anywhere and run Game.exe.
Linux: Extract and run launch.sh.
Mac: Extract, then double-click macOS_First_Run_Fix.command once (it clears the Gatekeeper block and starts the game). After that, open Game.app directly. If macOS still says the app “is damaged”, open Terminal and run: xattr -cr /path/to/Game.app
Android: Allow installs from unknown sources, then install the .apk.
iPhone / iPad: Runs in Safari from the official itch.io page (no install needed).
Moving saves: Menu > Archive / System > Export Save String. Paste it into any other build with Import Save String.

Everyone in every scene is awake and willing. No drugs, no hypnosis, no one is forced. Aimee chooses every change herself, and she keeps her own ledger.
Engine: RPG Maker MZ.
Artwork: AI-assisted (AI CG), selected and edited by the developer.
Language: English is the original. Machine translations are included for Traditional Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Korean.
The game sends anonymous play statistics (scenes, choices, battles). No names, no IP addresses. You can turn it off in Options.

Aimee Verane (26) – Gate-warden of the Chapter.
Short sentences, a lot of numbers. She repeats your terms back to you word for word before she agrees to them, and she never explains why.

Kaelan Ashgrove (you, 30+) – Border noble and contractor.
A border noble with an old name and new money. Polite, never loses his composure, never argues. His only weakness is that he gives way a little too fast.

Murash Wharfe (30) – Chapter warden, Aimee’s partner.
A dock orphan named after the wharf he was found on. Poisoned, still fighting. Whether he coughs blood tonight depends on whether the medicine was bought.

Father Ruma – The Chapter’s desk warden.
The Chapter’s man behind the desk. Calm, polite, never raises his voice. He talks in rates and price lists, and he truly believes that scarcity is what gives a thing its price.

The Morning Table – Fourteen lines on her page. Twelve sit behind three doors: For Money (Pressure), For Him (Trust) and For Me (Heat). Two more, Her Price and Her Distance, move only with the story. Put terms on the table and she says yes, says no, or makes a counter-offer. She reads every agreement back to you.
Her Own Page – Each line has up to six steps. You always see what is gone, what is still holding, and what she is ready to give up next. Ask too early, or the wrong way, and she refuses – and remembers.
She Changes on Screen – The portraits are built from live layers. When she strikes a line, you see it: the collar hooks open, the braid comes down, a watch chain appears. When she has not struck it, nothing in the art or the text pretends she has.
The Glass – A crystal in Kaelan’s study shows what she does when she thinks no one is looking.
Story Battles, No Grinding – Turn-based fights at the Stone Gates, one scripted battle per story day, each with its own rule. The danger and the cost are stated before you commit.
Choices Come Back – What you agree to on Monday is waiting for you on Thursday. Each night’s report shows who paid, and what it cost.
Play Anywhere – Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, or in the browser on iPhone and iPad. Copy one save string on PC, paste it on your phone, and continue at the same morning table.
Comfort – Message log, auto mode, save and load from the menu.
