Beyond the Edge is a story-based fantasy RPG with a lot of erotic elements. And when I say story-based, I mean that for this game, the story aspect is just as important as the adult aspect. The game is balancing between serious storytelling and non-serious comic or erotic moments.

This is a game in which you get to know the world anew in the role of a once powerful being, now devastated and completely lost. With an entire castle without a single soul inside, you will have to fill it with life again, find new friends to stand against the coming doom. At the same time solving conflicts between people, between thoughts and feelings, gradually realizing that there is something beyond this world and it is part of you.

  • Three groups of The Northern Flame can now be found across the map. Each group has it’s part of the code. Acquiring all parts will allow player to access the connector’s hidden base.
  • System of bonuses for good ration. By acquiring the access to different types of food, each one of them will boost stats of the party members. Rosa is responsible for the food distribution.
  • Advanced system of real time, with passing days and weeks. Player’s room now has a clock showing not just the time, but also day of the week and time until payday.
  • New system of castle maintenance, each week the player is obliged to feed a few hungry mouths.
  • Player’s internal voice lines added, there are several new scenes with player’s internal monologue.
  • Message box is wider now.
  • Daniel’s rescue quest was simplified, the map was changed.
  • Fixes for many small bugs, including the one with hunger state.
  •   8 new maps, most of them are a part of an underground tunnel system.

– the spell effects chances are now fully depend entirely on experience in a certain magic school, with high enough experience they will be applied every time

– New big quest “The top of the food chain” in which you finally have to face the abomination that threatens the existence of all life in the area. The slime (lvl1).
– New very long and juicy scene with “M”. One of my proudest scenes so far. During this scene the concept of a relationship is also expanded, depending on the relationship with M you can allow yourself to be lewd in various ways.
– Added notes on creatures of the world that you can find across the world:
– 2 notes on succubus
– 2 notes on slime
Gameplay and mechanics:
– Changed the event of gem extraction, as well as removed the tutorial on how to extract them in the cave.
– Changed items for the Sarnara’s quest. Now she just needs 3 gems.
– Animations for bandits, sentinel and imperial recruit were removed from the game completely. This was done to eliminate plugin conflicts.
Bugs:
– Fixed the bug with the sentinels on the first level and the prison. They now work as they should. No bugs at all. None.
– Many minor bugs that I just silently fixed and forgot to write down about it.

Important! Previous saves don’t work anymore, but I created an “emergency” folder inside the main directory. It contains the walkthrough and also save file.
Content:
– Bandits quest was strongly reworked, introducing new mechanics with character relation. Now cumming on Emma during her scene requires good relations too.
– New short scene with imperial officer during this quest. You don’t have to go trough it again, you can just come to bandits’ hideout and the girl will be at the entrance.
– New trader near the big tree.
– All maps have been shrunk in size so that you can move faster through them.
Gameplay and mechanics:
– Ability to change protagonist’s name. Right in the beginning or in the gallery room. (I finally made it)
– New interactive map that expands as you visit new areas. You can get it from the girl on the village field.
– You can now skip entire first level instead of skipping Eliza’s dialogue.
– Enemy rebalance.
– Enemy drop rebalance (now they drop more items that you can sell).
– New lymph upgrades, now you can spend lymph on increasing elemental damage.
– Lymph is now also gained in the temple during Anna’s questline.
– Changed many quest triggers to make them appear in a more balanced way, not just throw them all at once.
– Due to these changes now you can access western forest only after loosing virginity. Virgin speedrun option is currently disabled.
– Some scenes have been removed.
Bugs:
– A lot of bugs have been found and solved. From serious ones that break the activation of quests, to minor ones, such as bugs with music and sounds. Overall this update is more of a technical stuff to prepare the game before the next big update and bug hunting. But is does have some lewd content. Very few of it, but very lewd. The next update should came out by the end of this month, or early in the beginning of the next one.

Bugs:
-The worst bug with consuming computer memory has been fixed. I removed the plugin that was causing serious memory leaks.
-Eliza’s escape bug was fixed. Now she won’t run away.
Gameplay:
– Made changes to the intro and changed the music. Now it’s the most unsuitable intro for a porn game, but I really like it.
-Dynamic change of day and night. This didn’t actually create many bugs, but rather gave me an opportunity to optimize the code and make the game more stable.
– Autosave now saves the game in a separate slot, as in all normal games.
-Completely changed the battle HUD. It’s now more visually appealing and supports multi-opponent battles.
-Changed all transitions between locations to be more visible.
-Changed transition between rooms in the castle so that the constant darkening will not be annoying.
-Added plants that appear at random on various maps from which you can brew potions.
-HP of the characters now restores over time, in order to restore the hp you have to find a place to rest and spend some time there. (Or stand afk about half an hour of real-time).
-Added a black border during cutscenes for easier reading of messages. And overall cutscenes are cooler now.
– New mechanic – persuasion. With which you can avoid the battle with the enemy (but still get a scene). Unfortunately, the “scale of persuasion” had to be cut because the plugin on which it was held was the cause of memory leaks. But I’ll try to do something about it in the future.
-Changed the mechanics of picking up items. Now, if you pick up an item, you don’t get a message, you just get a notification popping up.
– For this update, I did not show out the sprite of the protagonist on the screen and in the future, I think it should be behind the screen for more compatibility with the player and more concentration on the girls, rather than on the main character’s ass.
– Character names are now displayed in separate boxes rather than together with the text.
– Improved the level design so you can avoid battles with ordinary groups of enemies.
– Added background sounds in some areas for more immersion.
– Added sprites for ability animations. Only Anna’s for now, but from now on I’ll start drawing them for other characters as well, maybe even for enemies.
– New level, Trayrial forest, which I will gradually increase and make it a big open map to explore. From now on, I’ll develop the game in the direction of an open world rather than a linear and closed one. Gradually I will redesign all the maps so that they would have transitions between each other and there will be space for exploration.
-Added cheat code to skip game right to the beginning of 1.2 version events.
– Added a Patreon button to the main menu ^^
