Tyrone’s Blicky has been added, along with a special event on Night 7. You’ll want to restart your game to experience this one…

Next phase of the Main Story has been added, along with two new areas.

Wayne has moved into the neighborhood. Go have a neighborly chat with him.

Inventory System

New inventory system has been added. Press B to open it. Cuckold many now collect many cool items in the world, including wearable cosmetics, such as the following:

Top Hat: Located in a most fitting place.

SNEED Hat: Two methods to get this – both require out-of-game file editing.

Genocider’s Halo: Complete Cuck Souls.

Genocider’s Wings: Complete Cuck Souls without taking any damage.

Not-So-Major New Features

Toggle option added for mouse y-axis input.

Cuckold now wears actual glasses instead of sunglasses (might revert this)

A new product has launched in ChinaTown and is available in select vending machines. How exciting! Time to consume!

ATMs have been added in various parts of the world.

Stats System has been added, but it doesn’t do anything at the moment.

Since the lot of you have apparently never received a piece of mail in your life, the mailbox will now glow when you have mail. Hopefully this will stop you from continually asking me “how do I check my email”.

Performance

Engine finally updated to 2019.4 LTS. Expect bugs. Report them.

General performance improvement across the board, particularly for lower end devices.

New video option “Fast Rendering Mode” is added and enabled by default. Gives about a 30%+ performance boost on it’s own, for most setups. Play around with it and see.

New video option “Toggle Post Processing Effects” is added and enabled by default. You can disable this for a

massive

performance boost, but the game will look even worse than it already does. Worth disabling if your framerate sucks, otherwise, leave it enabled.

Save System

Steam Cloud is now fully supported and enabled. Also, the save system has been slightly overhauled, now it is split into multiple elements.

SaveFile2.es3 – The bulk of the savefile that contains almost everything.

/saved-inventories/ – New directory that holds the inventories of various entities.

/permaflags/ – New permanent directory that contains accomplishments that will carry over between saves.

Clearing the save file is now defined as deleting SaveFile2.es3 and /saved-inventories/

Bug Fixes/Miscellaneous

Some fonts have been replaced with better looking fonts.

Laptop web browser look has been improved.

Federal Agents now appropriately glow.

VSync should no longer enable itself on it’s own.

Sliding on Cuckold’s Car is no longer possible (RIP).

So, full disclosure: I took a lot of lazy shortcuts when initially making the game because I never expected it to be as successful as it has been. It’s taken some time to fix that up. The game obviously has had some performance related issues that

currently

aren’t too bad, but bad enough that I can’t add new content until I fix them… Because the game will eventually grind to a halt on average hardware.

This patch

should

resolve that, and provide a base that’s somewhat scalable. So if this all works out, the next patch will be new content. Resource loading has been completely overhauled, so the game should run better on low-end computers and, in general, have less crashes. As a downside, you may experience a slight loading time when transitioning zones now. Oh well.

Pressing hotkeys will no longer interrupt your Reddit™ browsing experience.
Various grammatical/spelling fixes.

Controller support should be better in Cuck Souls (only tested with 360 controller)

Known issue: If you logged out inside GameStart, you will now be falling into the void. It should teleport you back to the house after some time. Go grab a drink while you wait. All other areas should be fine.

Not a bug: ‘Magic Rune Explosions’ in Cuck Souls blocking bullets, I’ve decided I like this as it adds a needed disadvantage to being at a very far range.

Some more changes. Fight is much more consistent now with all these changes. I am able to reliably do Flawless Victory now, so a lot of RNG has been removed if you’re using optimal strategy. Accordingly, I have added three new achievements. We are going to push the limits of what can be done in this game. I am confident they can both be completed.

Victory -> Pre-Nerf Victory: Killed the boss pre-nerf (no longer attainable).
Post-Nerf Victory: You could only kill the boss post-nerf. Pathetic.
myspacebarisbroken: Kill the boss without ever rolling.
Godlike: Kill the boss without ever rolling or taking damage.

Boss

Rotate mechanic changed: Now always between 90 and 270 degrees.
Hitbox of wings moved back a bit so the two swords near her wings can reliably be shot
Swords can be 2-shot from any distance now
Health bar ‘draining’ visual effect removed due to it being buggy
Reflect shield cooldown increased by 100ms

Player

Gun damage changed to a flat 19, regardless of range (was 17-23)
Shooting while rolling forward has been removed
‘Floatiness’ of reticle greatly reduced (but still slighty present)
Issue with end of reload animation preventing rolls has been resolved
Issue with weapon shooting out multiple unintended bullets resolved
Added terrible config menu on hotkey [F2], includes mouse sensitivity slider
Added icons in the upper left to reflect whether the player is eligible for Flawless/No Rolls

Finally, to clarify, being hit interrupting your reload is NOT a bug.

Since you all suck at my game, I am making some small nerfs. These are mostly designed to reduce RNG elements and improve the consistency of the last 2 phases. Also, since once again you all SUCK at my game, I am also introducing an in-game reward for the first 5 who get the normal ‘Victory’ achievement. This will be a much worse reward than those who get ‘Flawless Victory’.

Boss

Shield active time reduced by 100ms.
Boss attack speed reduced by 100ms.
Increased transparency of shield so you can better see the swords.
Fixed issue with swords acting weird in phase 4 when fired over long distance.
Moved left and right swords slightly outward. Made all sword positions symmetrical.
Lined up the hitbox of the shield more accurately with its visuals.
Reduced particle intensity of blood rain effect (just a performance boost).

Player

Changed sprint from toggle to hold, and stamina cost reduced by 7%
Bullet velocity increased by 7%
Reload speed increased by 2.5%
Time to roll after a roll decreased by 0.7%
New Hotkey: [TAB] swaps camera from left shoulder to right shoulder.

bosses boss and claim two new achievements – if you can. I’ve thoroughly tested this. Don’t complain about the balancing.
