You are happy with Maria. At 00:13 a name you haven’t seen in two years shows up on your phone: “Lila: Hey… how have you been?”
Ex Files is a visual novel that you play through a phone: chats, calls, photos, notifications. What you answer, and what you leave on read, changes how much Maria trusts you and how far Lila pushes. Version 1.0 is the complete story, Chapters 1 to 4, with 7 endings.

What the phone does:

You can leave a message unread, mute a chat or block a contact, and the story reacts to it. Lila does not simply go away, because what you do when she doesn’t is the point of the game.
Maria notices small things: a smell, a mark on a collar, an unanswered lunch. A recap after Chapter 3’s weekend shows what she saw.
A lie can work if she trusts you and hasn’t caught you before. Jake can cover for you, or start asking questions.

Developer Notes:

About the NTR tag: Maria and her ex, Daniel, only become a storyline if you choose it. You decide whether to look, and the walkthrough mode marks that path with a warning sign. If you avoid it, you never see it. Cheating by the player is the main theme.
About the Patreon content: the main story has no paywall, no pop-ups and no skipped scenes. Bonus scenes for supporters live in a separate Extras menu. Chapter 4 is free for everyone from November 2. Until then it needs a VIP or Producer code from Patreon.

All images are AI-generated (Stable Diffusion with LoRAs made for the characters).
