Major changes

A lot of internal reworks have been done to solve the crashing problems. As such, 0.9.1 and earlier saves will not be loaded by the new version. The persistent file where gallery unlocks are stored is still working as intended.

To make up for the loss of save files, a new Chapter Start feature has been added, which allows the player to start at the beginning of each major chapter of the game. You can choose what choices have been done before, and the new path is directly available. So unlike the previous Veteran Start, you can start straight from the newly-added chapter.

## Major changes

The Engine has changed from Ren’Py to Godot.

The new engine **requires Vulkan support**. For PCs, it means having a GPU that is newer than GTX 700 series, and for smartphones it means having Android 10 or above. More information about recommended specs below in **Modified**.

As such, saves made during 0.8.1 and earlier versions will **not** work.

This engine is not a final version, and has some missing features that will come back at a later point in time. However, saves **will stay compatible between versions**, unless major corruptions occur.

Some crashes are known to occur, especially when changing scenes. This will be solved at a later point in time, so this release could still be released. As such, **make sure you save frequently**. The skip text feature increases the crashing probabilities.

* Time indicator has been added to help with some events that require a specific time frame. This will show red if the current game time does not allow to progress the events line, and bubbles will show the expected times

Optimisation / Fix

– During a dialogue between two characters, the textbox disappeared for a fraction of a second each time the animation changed.

– There was a one-and-a-half-second delay before you could click to collect money again. This lag time no longer exists, you can spam click everywhere to collect money without missing a single area

– All backgrounds have been optimized to save hard drive space

– To blur the background, a renpy feature was used, it was slowing down the game, now direct blurred images are used, they are very light in size – The old transformations used to take too many resources, this has been changed.

– The display of backgrounds according to the time of the day was done in hard with conditions, we optimized this by using ConditionsSwitch. Globally, before in the code, it was necessary to do this
