Happily Ever After: Rethought [v0.2.0] [Escovic Games]
The game follows the story of Amy, our protagonist, and her husband, Manuel. They are a young newlywed couple who, by a twist of fate, inherit Manuel’s grandfather’s house and bar following his passing. As they begin this new chapter in their lives, Amy meets Manuel’s adoptive brother, Daniel, in person for the first time. He moves in with them and starts working at the bar, and from that moment on, Amy’s life begins to change in many ways.
- Sandbox mode has been removed. The game is now a traditional visual novel with choices.
- Several characters received updates to their bodies, faces, hair, and/or outfits. (Don’t worry, the beautiful Amy (FMC) hasn’t been physically altered—only her wardrobe has changed).
- Over 750 renders and 9 animations have been added.
- New text messaging system implemented to complement the updated narrative.
- The overall story remains the same, but several scenes and dialogues have been added, tweaked, or replaced to pave the way for the new narrative direction.
- The Gallery now includes an “Unlock All” option. This feature requires a password exclusive to patrons, which will change with every new version of the game.
- Many other minor updates that I’m probably forgetting, but you’ll discover them as you play!
