I Was a Teenage Vampire is a story driven visual novel inspired by retro adventure games, 80s horror flicks, and teen sex comedies of the 1980s.
Set in smalltown America during the final days of class, you’ll navigate friendships, romances, and the strange forces awakening beneath the surface of Silver Lake.
With branching paths, player choice, and characters who remember how you treat them, your actions shape the story and its outcome.
This version has been completely rebuilt in Ren’Py.

Fixed a number of dialogue typos.
Retouched select image frames to improve visual consistency.
Resolved bugs affecting UI elements like the map area and menus.
Updated dialogue fonts for better readability: main dialogue and inner monologue now have distinct, clearer styles.
Rebuilt the Jodie diner bathroom scene (Day 3) as a test of a new format. The scene is now fully narrative driven, removing the previous multiple choice menu. This may become the standard for other intimate scenes in the game.
Added opacity slider for the text box UI (thanks to Moonbox).
New dialogue font options: choose between comic or pixel styles under settings.
Added a new Chrissy school investigation scene (Day 3).
Included an experimental Macintosh build. Note: this version is untested and not officially supported yet.
