~50 animations and ~30 pictures were added in total (as I said, very small patch);
some of people’s suggestions from previous posts implemented – mostly to cover Gloria’s viewpoint, what she does in her free time;
almost all content is placed inside repeatable mini-events, you can turn them off 1-by-1 after seeing them a couple of times, reset them at the Laptop;
Gloria now takes a few “Snapchatty” pictures of herself during all of her corruption phases, added a separate button to the Laptop to review them (might take a few day-offs on an old save to unlock them first);
This build already has an updated gallery with all the new stuff (except selfies, on an old save – play for a few weeks);

Basically: the game in its original state takes ~8GB of space. I used YAC (from this forum) to make 2 compressed versions

Ultra quality (100% preserved) – 4.2 GB

Possible technical solutions (lag, crash):

First of all, thanks to an increasingly bigger audience, I have more feedback and possibilities to help with the game performance.

Number one is: check if the game is running on your video card (laptops can choose the integrated one). Even if your game wasn’t crashing before, this will boost the performance of RenPy games. Especially animations-heavy like mine.

Read here for more info.

Number two: I’ve decreased the number of steps you can “go back” from 100 to 50 (rewinding dialogues). This hopefully will solve some lag for when RenPy autosaves your game. Also, it’s advised NOT to do this in the documentation. I haven’t had any issues while testing this, but if you do – simply delete the “crash_fix.rpyc” from your game folder and try again.

Number three: I’ve started making the game on this config:

It was pretty mediocre even back in 2012-13 (ram was added later), but I had no crashes or major lags while testing and playing up to v0.5 on that config.

Renpy doesn’t go too well with video files (my game is a bunch of videos tied via dialogues), and looks like might have different issues with various hardware configurations. I’m not doing anything fancy in the code – it’s as basic as it gets for a cookbook Renpy game, no extra Python construct over it.

Make sure to:

1.Update your software

2.Update your drivers

3.Check if the game is running on the actual video card (not an integrated one, if you have it)

4.Ask your crypto-mining virus for a little fap-break

5.Try playing in windowed mode.
