So here we are, the final version of our second visual novel MELODY.

It’s been a great journey for us to be able to create, complete and deliver this game to you since we first began working on it in February 2018.

During the creation of this VN, we’ve been able to try some new things out, use some new locations, new poses, animations, and set the menu up much differently to our first game.

We’ve always maintained that these are visual novels first, and a game second. This story has always been about the early part of Melody’s career in music,

and depending on the choices that you the main character has made for her and yourself, will determine what kind of career and future she has by the conclusion of the game.

What we’ve fixed and added into this update

– Numerous spelling, grammar errors. There may be a blend of American and British (and even Australian) English used throughout the game.

We do our best to keep you all happy 😉

– The Sophia/Xianne relationship decision in Week 9. This initially caused a problem for Week 14 where you had to manually change the relationship status in order to get the MFFF scene. That has been fixed now. Be sure to read the Walkthrough to see which relationships need to be Unlocked to get this scene in Week 14.

– We’ve added thirteen more Melody points to the game, and they are highlighted in Purple in the Walkthrough. These points will give you enough to reach the 400 point target.

By doing so, you can view a “Special Bonus Scene” which will play after the Perfect Ending concludes. Please refer to the Walkthrough on how to get this bonus ending.

– Added music to Weeks 1-12 in the game, and some new live tracks

– Eight new renders added to the Lewd Gallery (for $20+ members)

– Replaced some renders that had previous issues

– Improved the audio on certain live tracks

– Fixed the wall painting scene with Becca in Week 6

– Added a non-anal sex scene with Isabella in Week 5

We have also added in:

– A Replay Gallery into the main menu. Here you can view all the main sex scenes from Weeks 1-14 in the game.

NOTE: The sex scenes from the game endings will not feature here however.

Unfortunately, we ran out of time to add two more special scenes to the Fantasy Scenes gallery. If we find some time in the future, then we may still add them in as the scenes have already been written up for them.

If you haven’t played the final week of the game yet, then it will be vitally important which girls you have set to “LOCKED” or “UNLOCKED” in the main menu for this update especially, as it will determine which game endings you will get to see at the end of the game.

If you have the Walkthrough it will explain exactly what you need to do or what will be required for you to attain, or to avoid certain endings.

Just keep in mind that if you lock or unlock specific paths in this update, then some of the storylines may not make sense.

So for instance, if you’ve already decided to be with Melody, and Sophia is locked, then unlocking Sophia will give you dialogue if you are dating both girls instead of just Melody. And it might mean that you’ll get one ending instead of another.

You’ve taken a huge step in asking MELODY to move in with you, but are you ready to tell her aunt Amy about the two of you dating?

How will she react? Now that you have more control over Melody’s career, you will also be tasked with putting together her full live band together before her next tour.

If you are dating Melody and seeing her best friend SOPHIA, you are no doubt wondering what will happen after what took place in the girls’ hotel room the night before. Will Melody be more open to doing things with both you and Sophia during this week? There’s only one way to find out!

You won’t get to see XIANNE or have any fun with her this week, however, that doesn’t matter someone else can’t!

If you’re on her path, then keep an eye out for a special offer Xianne makes to a certain “someone” later on in the week…

AMY and REBECCA as promised will return this week, and plenty will be revealed in the next part of your relationship with the girls, depending on which girl you decided to be with.

If you were on the Melody friendship path, and dating either Amy, Rebecca or even Isabella, then you will find out not only what the MC whispered to Melody before he seemingly left town with Bethany, but also why you the MC, didn’t end up returning home with your ex.

As you may well know by now, the end of MELODY is almost upon us, which means that some of the paths in the game will be coming to a conclusion.

There are TWO MORE ENDINGS in this update. Again, if you have trouble locating them, then please use the walkthrough if you have it.

Our apologies for the bug in last months update, that unfortunately led some of you to the Bethany ending. That has been fixed now.

If you are looking for either of the two new added endings, then we suggest that you start the game from just before Bethany arrives at the MC’s apartment at the end of Week 12.

Will you go back to your previous life with your ex Bethany?

Or will you stand up to her so you can continue your happy life and relationship with another?

If you are dating Melody then you find yourself in a position to take more control of her career as her manager.

But have you allowed anyone else the chance to perhaps disrupt this perfect duo that you have?

Do you know for sure if three, really is a crowd?

Speaking of which, Melody’s BFF SOPHIA made her intentions known to you during the last update.

So the question is, what are you going to do about it during this week of the game?

Do you think you can get any closer to having a relationship with both girls at the same time?

Your lock and unlock combinations with these characters will determine what outcome you will get in the next few updates, and this update too.

Your casual encounters with the sexy Asian XIANNE continues if you are on her path.

But if you are on one of the other girls paths, then it could be “sayonara” to Xianne for the very last time in this update.

Again, keep an eye on your relationship settings. Also look out for an incredible erotic scene with Xianne about halfway through this week of the game.

AMY and REBECCA unfortunately won’t feature much in this update, but they will definitely feature in next months Week 13 release.

You will however be in contact with both of them during Week 12, and discuss your plans to be with them, if all goes according to plan…

Game Endings

As you may well know by now, the end of “MELODY” is almost upon us, which means that some of the paths in the game will be coming to an end.

There are TWO ENDINGS in this update. One good, and one bad….

If you have the walkthrough, then you will be able to find one of these two endings. The other ending you will have to try and find for yourself.

On the bad ending, things are made unspeakably worse during the final scene on this path. Let us know if you can find it!

Two more endings to the game will feature in next months release. And please keep in mind, just because specific characters paths are coming to an end, doesn’t necessarily mean that they won’t feature later on in the game in some capacity 😉 😉

How will you approach this situation, especially if you are also seeing Melody?

Even if you’re just friends with Melody, how do you think she will react when or if she finds out that you’ve been fooling around with her best friend behind her back?

Or is it not totally inconceivable that Melody would be against having some fun with both of you in the near future?

Your lock and unlock combinations with these characters will determine what outcome you will get in an upcoming update.

What about if you’re not seeing Melody, but she is becoming closer to Sophia in a more physical and romantic way?

Or if that isn’t happening, what’s really happening behind closed dorm room doors between Sophia and the sexy oriental stunner XIANNE?

AMY and REBECA unfortunately won’t feature in the update, but they are eagerly awaiting to be reunited with you

(if you are on either of their paths) in the next update, where their paths will inevitably be concluded.

Points system

Now that the Melody relationship and friendship paths are separated, should make it easier to gain “Melody points” if you are seeing her.

If you are close enough to the 275 point mark, then Level 6 is attainable in this update, which will leave just one key left to obtain.

Make sure to use the walkthrough to collect all 37 points on offer during this week of the game.

As always, there are some bonus, alternate and animated scenes (for the $20+ Patrons) and some new sexual positions too! 😉

Scenes with audio

We’re slowly getting the audio we want for specific scenes featuring Melody, and this update features her playing and singing a fairly popular cover on acoustic guitar near the back end of this update.

For those that have the walkthrough, we’ve decided to try something new this time around.

During the sex scenes in this update, you’ll notice that we have suggested a “Recommended Track” for you to have playing during these scenes.

You can simply search for the song and artist through YouTube, Spotify or any other audio streaming platform. All you need to do is have the song begin playing from when these scenes start.

Of course, these songs are our own suggestions, but feel free to choose something more to your taste if need be.

Also, if you’d like to suggest a specific song and artist for any of the sex or romantic scenes that happen in any of the other weeks of the game so far, please post them up in our comments section below and we’ll consider your recommendations.

Friendship Path

The friendship path has now been added in for Melody, to make it possible to have a proper eventual ending with some of the other female characters in the game.

We’ve had to work a lot harder than usual just to be able to fit this extra part into the game, and it was necessary because of the point the visual novel is currently at.

Also, we’ve noticed that there’s been a lot of comments from fans who would prefer to end up with one of the other girls over Melody.

So, it made complete sense to implement a friendship path for this update sooner rather than later.

If you have any intentions of being with one of the other girls in the game other than Melody, it is highly recommended that you go back to the point in Week 7 where you can choose to not see Melody romantically (see pic below).

Or if you prefer not to go all the way back and play through until Week 10, what you can also do is when you begin this update (Week 10), go into the Melody menu and then to “Other Girls”, then set her from “Unlocked” to “Locked” to put Melody on the FRIENDSHIP path.

Keep in mind, if you choose not to date Melody, you will no longer see any “New Relationship Level Unlocked” notifications.

However, some Melody points may still register if you’re no longer on her path though.

About the Walkthrough

If the Melody options are displayed in the walkthrough, then these now will only be relevant to those that are on her relationship path, including the points allocated for each choice.

Some of these scenes with Melody between Week 7 and Week 10 will be different and they have been adjusted if you choose not to date her. Feel free to play through and see some of the changes that we have made!

We’ve left several “Notes” for this week of the walkthrough, to give you some helpful clues on how to unlock specific scenes with certain characters.

Please make as many saves as you feel necessary in order to go back to certain points of the game quickly, rather than having to restart from the beginning of Week 10 each time.

Game endings

The first of what we hope will be several different endings in the game will feature in this update.

It is however a BAD ENDING, but also a logical ending on specific paths if you have chosen at least two in particular at the same time.

This will be one of only a couple of bad endings in the game, with the rest ranging anywhere between good to amazing!

If you have the walkthrough, it is listed how and when this BAD ENDING will occur. But if you prefer not to know how it will happen, then best to try and ignore it! haha

Please keep in mind that if you lock or unlock some of the girls during Weeks 9 or 10 in the game, then some scenes may not make sense.

If you’ve made specific decisions in the last update, then that already effects the events of this update.

One of those examples is if you chose to leave town with Amy (Unlocked) or if you decided to breakup with her (Locked).

Choosing to “Unlock” Amy after you decided to end things with her in Week 9 will mean some of the dialogues and scenes won’t make sense after you change that setting.

So please be mindful of that.

About Week 10

This update we feel is a fairly even amount of screen time dedicated to the main female love interests in the game.

MELODY as always will be the main focus, and we get to see her and the MC’s reaction to the future superstar losing her virginity the night before.

How will it affect your relationship with Melody moving forward? How will affect her career now that she’s signed on with Hank’s record label?

If you’re on the friendship path, you’re just as committed to Melody’s career as you would be on the relationship path.

However, if you’re contemplating being with one of the other girls in the future, this may change a lot of things for you both.

Will you stay on as Melody’s manager, or will you choose to leave town to be with another?

One person that might be affected by this is AMY, Melody’s gorgeous aunt.

Did you agree to leave town with her in Week 9? Are you both ready to tell Melody about the two of you dating?

Or are you still trying to delay things because you’re seeing both Melody and Amy at the same time?!

We have added some more audio into this update, mainly in the scenes where Melody sings or plays guitar.

Our team is completely aware that a game which has a music theme should ideally have plenty of music/audio in it.

And it’s something that we are continually working on improving.

However, choosing the right music and going through the right channels for this has not always been easy.

So, we’re being very selective of the music we include with each update.

But once the game is completed, then applying more audio throughout each week of the game will definitely be something that will be a high priority when that time comes.

Audio now features in selected scenes of the game between Weeks 5 and 10.

Points system

As always, gaining Melody points is something to keep an eye out for, and if you are hoping to achieve the next level in the game. Level 5 can be reached in this update if you attain 200 Melody points.

Also, there will be 10 x Special Melody points to attain in this release, but they can only be gained if you are ONLY seeing Melody.

These points could be the difference between a happy ending or a perfect ending with the next big singing sensation by games end.

Having the walkthrough will be a huge help to find these points, as well as several others available throughout v8.

Going by this month’s lewd gallery poll votes, XIANNE is fast becoming a fan favorite as well.

And she too will feature in some important scenes during this update. Will you or Melody find out the truth about her mysterious night job?

Or will she remain tight-lipped about that for now?

Unfortunately for AMY fans, Melody’s stunning aunt won’t feature this time around. But expect her to return for the next release during Week 9.

Picking up from where we finished in the last update, your relationship with MELODY will continue, as will your blossoming relationships with the other girls in the game.

LEVEL 3 – “Honesty” can also be achieved in this update if you have attained enough points. Once Melody realizes that you’re a pretty honest guy, where she can pretty much tell you anything, that will begin to lead towards the both of you spending a lot more time together and having more non-music themed dates as well!

However, there will be a couple of obstacles in your way, that are sure to test any future romance between you two, as well as an old flame who’s hoping to track you down…

The nerdy yet fiery “girl next door” REBECCA returns in this update, and to say that she’s happy to see you again is a real understatement!

But like those that are contemplating being with Melody, there will be a couple of crucial decisions to be made during the week that could determine if you end up with Becca later in the game.

The walkthrough will be a huge help if you have it.

Melody’s best friend SOPHIA will have more screen time (if you’re on her path) in this update and will be an aid to any potential relationship with Melody later on.

Keep an eye out for the Sophia Locked/Unlocked option that will now be available in the “Other Girls” section of the menu.

Unfortunately for the AMY fans, she will be out of town for a fashion design show. However, she will give you a call and a lot to look forward to for her return in Week 7 (or v6) next month.

And for those of you that would like to see a lot more of the hard-working Asian pocket rocket XIANNE, your requests have been answered!

More of what her character is about and her ongoing quest to find the perfect job that suits, will feature in this update.

Just like every other release, there are plenty of Melody points to be gained, some bonus, alternate and animated scenes (for the $20+ Patrons), rolling WIP’s of the female characters (aside from Izzy and Amy this time), as well as a couple of different sexual positions for one character in particular 😉

It’s always a challenge to come up with new audio options for the music scenes in our game, but we feel like we’ve chosen some great snippets of tracks, and most importantly, great vocals to put with Melody’s songs. This scene will happen towards the back end of the week.

We ran two polls for our $20+ Patrons to see which female character you would like to see feature in our Lewd Gallery.

So there will be eight new pictures each dedicated to Melody and Becca in this update!

For variety, we will run another poll for our $20+ Patrons within the next week or two that will not feature these two girls 😉

WEEK 3 will be you as the main character further progressing your student-teacher relationship with Melody.

During v0.0.2, you will have the chance to officially be regarded as her “Friend”.

Once you have achieved this, a new objective will become available in the menu section, under “Relationship Level”.

For those also on the Rebecca or Isabella paths, there will be important scenes featuring these characters as well.

As mentioned after the first release of MELODY last month, we were overwhelmed by the feedback and positive responses from fans.

But we also noticed just how many people commented and posted about their interest in these side characters.

So because of this, we will try to make them feature a lot more often than side characters did in our previous game. Melody naturally will still be the main character of focus though.

This week of the game will be more of the MC familiarizing himself with the town, as well as further building his relationships with the female characters in his life at the present time.

The music lessons with Melody will continue, some more music-themed dates, as well as some mini-games featured which will offer the chance to gain more “Melody points” and also the opportunity to progress to the next level of the game.

Final Words

We really do hope that anyone who has played “Melody” enjoyed her journey, or has taken something good away from the experience.

It was a project that when we began working on it, we really had no idea how well it would be received, or just how many people would be interested in a music-themed visual novel. As sad as we are to say goodbye to this game and that Melody’s journey has finally come to an end, we’re also very excited by the prospect of delivering our new game to you in early-2020.

Melody has exceeded our expectations, and we’ve certainly learned a lot from making this game, so much so that we believe it will be beneficial in the production of our new project, and any others that we create in the future. Not many developers complete their games, but we also know that achieving this would not have been possible without the encouragement, love and support from you all.
