Base Game Additions

There’s been a few things added to the base game that all players will be getting regardless of having the new DLC.

New Camera Position: The camera can now be moved down to look at the girl’s legs, with milk particles splashing on the ground.
New Alternate Hairstyle for Mira: Mira is getting a proper alternate hairstyle since we weren’t happy about hers just being a toggle for the pony tail.
New Main Menu Easter Eggs: Rumor has it that the ladies bras on the main menu are a little loose. Maybe you should poke around after the update!

This patch is intended to resolve the Unity vulnerability that was discovered recently. Full details of the issue can be found here.

We’re going to be patching all of our projects to resolve this but please let us know if you run into any new issues. I was in the middle of working on Milking Sophie when this came to light so I may have messed something up inadvertently.

Bug Fixes

Fixed Critical Cerise Bug: Cerise should now be loading properly regardless of which drive you install the game on. This bug has been a massive trial and error process because it seems to be linked to initialization of Steam’s API. I’ve added new redundancy checks when loading and replaced a loading method that was obsolete. Most players on itch shouldn’t have been experiencing this problem but mentioning it anyway.
Fixed AutoSkip Cutscene and Breast Size Capacity Link toggles not saving in the settings menu.
Fixed Light Switch and Thermostat buttons not unlocking when items were obtained via RNG

Polish

AutoSkip Cutscene Toggle now skips the breeding cutscene as well.

Known Issues

Running the game from another hard drive is causing scenes to not load until clicking twice: I originally thought that this was due to a problem with the DLC but it may be something different. Please avoid installing the game on a drive other than the C drive until I can track this bug down.
Possible Data Loss when Switching Characters: Haven’t been able to replicate this one but still have people saying it’s occurring to them. It’s possible that fixing the DLC has also fixed this, but I’ll continue searching for a cause.
Players Unable to Unlock Max Rank Item for Either Character: Haven’t been able to replicate this either. Only thing at the moment is to keep milking until the Milk Goddess rank is reached and the white bar under it can no longer be filled.

The confusing thing is that it looks like some of those known issues were resolved by fixing the DLC loading bug. There must have been some kind of internal disconnect when the game failed to load DLC, likely due to some shared assets between the base game and Cerise’s content.

Alright! I’ve been busting my ass trying to squash every bug I can find, and I should hopefully have resolved several of the recent ones that have been reported. Thanks for everyone’s co-operation in finding some of these.

Bug Fixes

–Changed color on Golden Party Time Item: This item is Mira’s final rank unlock but it was color coded as a general item. Additionally, a small text with “MAX” has been added to hint at the unlock condition.

–Fixed page buttons in tool panel displaying “Camera” on mouse over.

–Fixed issue with Mira’s rope boobs not working with key-based milking inputs.

–Fixed broken buy buttons on Golden Party Time and Witching Hour: These items had a price of 0 in the backend since they were meant to be max rank unlocks. Clicking where the buy button would be was instantly unlocking the item.

–Fixed wrist chain on Cerise that was layered improperly.

–Fixed Vibrator Stat Bug: The vibrator item was incorrectly modifying the production stat, causing lower than intended production, and on Mira going into the negatives.

–Delayed DLC check order: Some players have been having problems getting the DLC to show up. This may have been due to Steam taking longer to initialize than expected and causing the DLC load to fail. It’s an odd problem that I haven’t been able to fully prove the cause of, so if you are still having this issue after this patch, please let me know any additional details about your setup that you may have. One player was able to fix it by just completely closing steam and reopening it.

–Fixed issue with some items unlocking for one character but not the other? I have this one with a question mark because it’s an intermittent issue affecting some players. I adjusted the save system to hopefully resolve it but please let me know if you are still having this problem. Unlocking something on any character should have it immediately available for the other.

–Added arrow keys to manual milking inputs.

–Removed “Fixed Reward Text +0” from final rank up UI: This was a remnant from the original ranking mechanic where it used to give fixed stats on rank up.

–Added missing autosave call to purchasing items.

–Added UI buttons for the Thermostat and LightSwitch: These buttons do not do anything once the item is unlocked, but they allow players to mouse over them for more details on the item. They also allow purchasing the item pre-emptively since these were only obtainable through RNG.

–Slightly improved visibility of available stat points icon.
Known Issues

–Cerise’s chain restraints on her left arm are sometimes floating: I haven’t been able to replicate this but someone shared a screenshot on discord of it. I suspect something with the physics but can’t fix this bug at the moment.

–Golden Party Time and The Witching Hour items stack and can get a bit overwhelming visually: It doesn’t seem to break anything but if its too much, we can make those items exclusive in a future patch.

–Old Saves / Cloud Saves from a previous version may cause rank and item unlock issues: The update had significant changes to how the rank system and unlocking items works. Unfortunately, the best thing to do in this case is to delete all data and start a fresh save. IF that still doesn’t resolve it, then please let us know any additional details you may have about your setup.

New Content
Implemented New Hucow – Cerise:

Cerise can now be selected on the main menu by using the arrow on the right side of the screen. This arrow will not show up if the game doesn’t detect the DLC.

Implemented Character Intro Cutscenes: These play when selecting a character and starting the game.

Each cutscene is unique for each character.
Cutscenes can be auto-skipped by toggling it in the settings menu.
We may add a cutscene viewer in a future update if we end up doing more of them.

Added Gold Mechanic / Pity System: Players can now earn gold for every milk jar that gets filled.

This gold can in turn be used to unlock items pre-emptively as a way to bypass the RNG roll on rank up.
Gold is displayed beneath the milk jar counter on the bottom right of the screen.
Items will remain hidden until the player has enough gold to afford them. When the player has collected enough gold, the question mark on the item will begin to glow white. Mousing over the item while the question mark is glowing will reveal the price, buy button, and give a small glimpse at what the item is.

Milk Master 9000 is no longer auto-awarded when collecting 50 bottles. Instead, it can just be purchased whenever the player has enough gold, or randomly obtained from the reward pool.

Some special items such as the Thermostat and Golden Party Time cannot be purchased and must be obtained through the reward pool, or via their unique unlock condition.

Reworked Stat System and Rank System: Various changes have been made to the core game mechanics.

Ranking up no longer grants stats directly but instead gives the player a point to assign to their stat of choice.
Points can be assigned using a new UI menu that can be opened by clicking on the character’s portrait in the top right corner.
A small star-shaped icon will pulsate in the corner of the portrait to indicate that there are unassigned stat points available.
Players can now mouse over an individual stat within this menu to view its base and gear-adjusted total. The base stat is calculated from the character’s unique values + whatever stat points the player has assigned.
Stat points are 1:1 ratio for stats except for capacity, which goes up by 10 for each point assigned.
Hucows are now individually ranked, so they must be maxed out individually.
Mousing over a stat will also display a brief explanation of what the stat does.
Mousing over corner portrait no longer displays the old tooltip with abbreviated stats.
With the addition of new items, ranks are no longer 1:1 linked to unlockables. This means that you can reach max rank for a hucow and may end up missing an item or two. Players should be able to obtain any missing items through the gold pity system. (I didn’t feel like extending the game’s ranks just to fit more items and if we add even more things, it would mean even more ranks to track.)
Ranking up a hucow without any items left to unlock will instead allow players to obtain gold bags of various sizes.

10 New Items Added: All new items are backward compatible with Mira.

Witch Hat: New hat that’s part of the witch set.
Witch Earrings: Small earrings that emit magic particles and slightly increase all states.
Rope Top: A makeshift top made of rope wound around your hucow’s breasts. This item changes the shape of your hucow’s breasts and increases Milk Pressure, causing milk to shoot out in a wider spray when used. Keeping this item on for too long will cause purpling on the breasts that go away when removed.
Crotch Rope: New bottom that’s part of the rope set.
Barbell Piercings: These are part of a new item category for nipple items.
Hoop Piercings: Same as the item above but with a hoop shape.
Nose Ring: A special face item that can be stacked with gags and eye items.
Harness Ring Gag: A full-face, open-mouth gag that causes excessive drooling.
Discipline Cane: A handheld cane used to discipline your hucow. Click to strike the hucow’s breasts and increase milk production. Hucows have a hidden pain tolerance value that if reached, will stop producing milk until they are given a break or massage. Pain will be visually indicated by red skin irritation that gradually shows up when the toy is used. Be sure to pay attention to it since it indicates that you are getting closer to hitting the pain tolerance. The redness from the irritation will fade away over time. Reaching the hucow’s pain limit through repeated caning will leave marks that will not go away until exiting the session.
Witching Hour: This is Cerise’s equivalent of the Golden Party Time item. Activating this will cause a ritual to start that involves activating 6 candles in a specific order. Good luck and be sure to look closely at the candles!

Items Unlocks Have Been Recategorized: Some items such as the Golden Set are only unlockable by playing with Mira, while others are from Cerise. This will be indicated by the color of the “?” on the item slot. Items are not exclusive to the character after unlocking them though as you can take them to the other cow pen. You can also just purchase another character’s items with enough gold, with the exception of their final unique unlockable obtained through maxing their rank.

The Golden Set now grants a gold bonus when completing a milk bottle.
Implemented Breeding Cutscenes: Using the insemination toy will now play a cutscene of your hucow being bred.

2 New Secrets Added: One is related to the new Witching Hour item, and the other is part of the Harness Ring Gag.

Cerise comes with her own version of the Succubus Horns and Tail that are unlocked by having save data from Project Cappuccino.
New BGM added to the Jukebox: Farm Life, originally from our scrapped project “Crystal Road”.

Polish
Adjusted engine physics settings for smoother jiggle physics:
There will be a slightly higher performance cost with this change but we needed to do it for Cerise’s jiggle physics to look smooth. Her boobs use higher gravity and drag values, which required more precise calculations.

Added Missing Hair Tips and Legs to Mira: Her ponytail and hair would cut off below the knee since we didn’t need it at the time. The Thigh Strapped Vibrator has also had the missing part of its cable added.

Changed How Mouse Detection Works for Handheld Items: Handheld items are now able to detect multiple hitboxes in one click. This was done due to the new cane toy being added since it has a long hitbox that can overlap both boobs. Without this, it looked strange to strike and only have one boob move. Only applies to the cane at the moment but it’s ready if we add other handhelds in the future.

Characters can now change expressions due to animation states: The restrained state for example will cause the character to emote based on the animation.

Bug Fixes
Added Missing VFX and Localization to some of Mira’s Dialogue:
A few of her lines such as the ones from the thermostat item weren’t localized and were silent for her.

Fixed issue with VFX not playing while UI disabled: Voice audio source was attached to the Bark System. Hiding the bubbles with the UI was accidentally preventing VFX from playing.

Fixed Audio Settings Bug: Audio settings were not being loaded properly despite showing the sliders in the right place. This was due to a unity bug with audio mixers that required a work around.

Fixed one of Mira’s Boobs being larger than the other when using the Mega Milker’s item.
Fixed issue with sweat remaining on a character even after disabling the thermostat.
Fixed some of Mira’s sweat beads being parented to the wrong bone, causing them to float off in a random direction.
Known Issues
Golden Party Time and The Witching Hour items stack and can get a bit overwhelming visually.
If its too much, we can make those items exclusive in a future patch.

New Content

Added option to link breast size to overall capacity instead of current fullness: Max effective capacity is 800. Anything after that will no longer increase the breast size but will still continue to function for milk collection. The reason for this is that absurdly large breasts start to mess with the game’s visuals. Along with this, the maximum visual size for breasts when using the Mega Milkers has been slightly increased. This is as big as we can make them for Mira but a future character is probably going to be even larger. Toggling this option can be done through the settings menu under the gameplay tab.

Polish

Rebalanced Various Items: The Golden Set has had its values distributed more evenly between its different parts. Prior to this update, each clothing piece was mostly focused on one stat. By more evenly distributing their bonuses, players can benefit from a single piece as soon as it’s acquired instead of needing multiple ones. Some toys like the Ball Gag and Heavy Chains now have stat bonuses linked to them.
Adjusted drop rate for some items that had it too low
Added resizable window and locked aspect ratio to 16:9 Unity gave us some trouble by suddenly removing the option of enforcing aspect ratios. Had to use a workaround to get the windowed mode working properly. Toggling windowed mode can be done with Alt+Enter but we will later try to add a settings menu toggle.
Adjusted Milk Man Achievement: The achievement is now granted as soon as you find all of the hidden gnomes. Previously, it required finding the gnomes and cycling through the camera but this was too obscure. (The easter egg is still there.)
Added Achievement Redundancy Check: This is mostly to account for players bringing saves over from other platforms like itch io. Some achievements were only triggered once when a milestone was reached and if a player loaded an existing save, that achievement would remain locked. In order to get your achievements to trigger with an existing save, simply load into the milking scene with Mira. Some achievements like outfit combinations will require re-equipping the items or re-using something specific. Please let us know if you are still having achievement problems after this update.
Added no branding button to Steam version for the achievement: Some players didn’t want to brand their hucow but still wanted to 100% the game. You can now push a button in the settings to trigger the achievement without permanently branding Mira.

Bug Fixes

Fixed Text Wrapping on Stat ToolTip: English users had the word “Production” breaking the display.
Fixed Stat Bug Related to Tool Items: Some tool items weren’t working properly. Pregnancy would apply stat bonuses when used but they would be reset if the player removed other equipment. Thigh Strapped Vibrator was not affecting stats at all.

Known Issues

There is a bug sometimes when activating Golden Mode that soft locks the game on the white transition screen: This was reported by one player but I have been unable to replicate it during testing. I made an adjustment that I think may have been causing the problem but don’t want to call it fixed just yet. Please let us know if you run into this issue with any details that may have caused it. Exiting to the main menu fixes the problem as a workaround.
Thermostat sometimes causes sweat to remain on boobs and pregnant belly: Also have been having problems replicating this one.
Some languages do not display the new stat bonuses in the item descriptions yet: Localization will be updated in the content update later this year. This only applies to DE, FR and JP. EN and ES are updated.

Additional Notes

We experimented with adding a gold currency that is collected along with every completed milk bottle, but making a feature like this intuitive will require a bit more time. We’ve left the current system in place but will properly revisit this idea while working on the content update. We’re just not happy with the current RNG roll mechanic being the only way to obtain items.
We are open to requests for future items or mechanics that players may want to see. We cannot guarantee everything but we’ll do our best to include popular requests.
