Here’s the updates for V 0.0.8 bunch of fixes from the combat and added new Homonculus and monster, updated some of the VFX, switched models and fleshed out the battle UI and the buildings on the town.
Here’s the list of all the bug fixes, changes and updates.
Bug Fixes:
  • Empty Skills Being added each level up.
  • Skill Table missing after combat.
  • Skill Table missing after loading from save file.
  • Experience going into negative after level up.
  • Feline Homonculus not having proper actor model.
Updates:
  • New Monster added (Horned Rabbit).
  • New Homonculus added (Leporine).
  • Updated Skill Visual Effects.
  • Switched to Anime models. (Cheaper to load 7k Vertices only than the previous 12k)
  • Sleeping now fully restores the Health and Mana in the Homonculus Party.
  • Updated the Battle UI.
  • Fleshed out some of the buildings in the town a bit.

Dialogue System
Expansion – Dialogue Interaction is expanded on the Homonculus Breeder NPCs, the Base NPCs will have the SX_Component that is used for the Sexual interactions.
Sex Scenes UI Flow – currently used by the Homonculus Breeder NPCs but every Essential Town NPCs will also have it despite not being used currently, it is also applied on the Merchant NPCs since I planned to add an NPC Merchant with the Relationship System.
Relationship System – Relationship System will have 5 stages of affection Stranger, Acquaintance, Friend, Confidant and Lover. These Relationship will enable the player to have certain interactions with the NPC’s that is using the Relationship System. this is just a refresher for the updates.

Dialogue System
– The base Dialogue Interaction is already built and it is also connected to Relationship System and the Quest System, while I don’t have the NPC’s that would use these system it will be a lot more easier to expand in the future since I’m also moving the Merchant’s Shop System and Homonculus Creation System to work with the Dialogue System.
Relationship System – Relationship System will have 5 stages of affection Stranger, Acquaintance, Friend, Confidant and Lover. These Relationship will enable the player to have certain interactions with the NPC’s that is using the Relationship System.
Quest System Update – Built a logic on the Dialogue System and Relationship System so some NPC’s in the future will have some quests for the player that might affect their relationship.
Optimizing the laggy Field Area – replaced and removed some of the trees with Tree Cards to reduce the lag and frame drops (mostly for me because my card is old).
Next Update Might be the NPC’s or the Enemy’s so it might take a bit longer with my work and all. Or comment on what you want to have updated first.

  • Added Data Driven Quest System, the quest system relies on a data table of Quests this is to make it easier for me to create and edit quests using csv or excel files. most of the stuff in this game are based on data tables anyway, since it is easier to maintain once it is built. (this will be used for the Main Quest, Side Quest, Repeatable Quest, Romance Quest.).
  • 6 Repeatable Quests added. (All of these are Elimination Quests but the functions for Gathering Quests, Location Visit and Dialogue Events. Reason for adding Location Visit and Dialogue Events will be used for Main Quests, Romance Quest to divide the objectives separately to reduce the amount looping in arrays and keep my sanity).
  • Updated Battle HUD UI.
  • Added BGM to Town, Field and Battle, Music is from the pack of 16-Bit Fantasy & Adventure Music an Original music by Marllon Silva (xDeviruchi).
  • Fixed Some Minor bugs where the skills aren’t using the correct stats.

  • Fixed Skill Issue, Empty Skill data was being added before upon homonculus creation. Now it properly assigns the skills and the skill learnset.
  • Added World Item loots and World Item Persistence (the mesh looks like a sack bag for now, a placeholder I was too focused on the mechanics).
  • World Item persistence is also saved during saving and loading.
  • Replaced the Merchant Model.
  • Few  minor collision bugs.
  • Added a roadmap at my Itch.io page, check it out if you have some free time.

  • added hair for MC because players don’t like bald people :cry:(jk).
  • added the items inside the inventory instead of looting it in the ground (those were loot drops anyway, they weren’t supposed to be place in the world).
  • reduced the file size from 4.6 GB to 2.4 GB, just to make sure it runs on most of the PCs without lagging.
