It was an ordinary, boring day when my cousin texted me asking for help. His girlfriend and her friends were supposed to head out to some DJ event out of town, but they had a problem with their car, and my cousin was busy today. His girlfriend is Bianca, and her friends are Tori and Zoe. I know them well—we went to school together. They were the coolest girls in school. But… my relationship with them wasn’t exactly smooth. And now I’m going to drive them in my dad’s van, hang out with them at the festival, and spend the night in a hotel. What should I expect?

You can avoid the NTR content, but with some conditions – it won’t always work on the first try, and it’s not always possible to avoid it completely (some of the bar’s friendly visitors will still have their fun). I’ve started updating some sprites, but this will obviously take several releases. The old code needs to be reworked to support multi-layered character sprites. Right now, you can see sprites from multiple generations at the same time!
The in-game clock and weekdays are now fully implemented. The next step is to link the clock to time-of-day changes (lighting adjustments) and character behavior schedules (the code is already in the game but currently disabled).
In this version, you can control Zoe (just a little and under certain conditions). Later, this mechanic will be used situationally for all characters.

The third day is finished. A small piece of an event has been added, which we can see through Tori’s eyes. This means that in the future, I plan for us to be able to see what happens with Bianca, Tori, and Zoey when they are not at home.
Important: The moments shown are seen by us, not the protagonist. This means they cannot affect his knowledge, opinions, etc. If the protagonist is to actually witness such events, a separate mechanic will be added… someday… maybe
I put together the first animation (actually, two). I’d rate it a 4 out of 10. The animation is tiny (just a few seconds), but it took a lot of time. The result is mediocre. Luckily, progress doesn’t stand still, and I’m confident this will improve in the future.

I’ve created rooms for the characters. In the game, you can currently only see Mark’s room. The other rooms will become accessible later as the story progresses.
The girls have new sprites and new outfit sprites.
I decided to slightly change the title since “loser” in the name didn’t really reflect reality. So, for now, we’ll go without the “loser” part.
Time tracking for the time of day and the day of the week has been added to the game (though it’s currently implemented only in the code — practically, you’ll see it later when quests dependent on time and day are introduced).
A quest tracking system has been implemented (also only in the code for now). Essentially, on the third day, when you open your room’s door, a long quest starts and concludes on the hotel rooftop. This whole technical setup is necessary so that we can experience different events during free play (both story events and other content will be available through quests in future updates).

Fixed a bug that occurred during the conversation with Zoe (when she asks us to carry the suitcases).

Right now, my efforts are focused on three things:
  • Adding emotions to the main character sprites.
    In version 0.13, this was partially implemented. Future releases will expand on this. Initially, I thought three facial expressions per character (default face, talking, and smiling) would be enough, but it turned out that more are needed.
  • Implementing functionality for free play.
    I don’t think it should be called a sandbox since it won’t be a full-fledged sandbox. I expect this feature to be functional in 2-3 versions.
  • Designing the in-game economy.
    If the player can earn money, there should be ways to spend it. It’s clear that Ian and Helena will be involved in trading, and I will likely add a couple more merchants to the district. Over time, new items will be introduced that can expand the functionality of the apartments and provide additional gameplay opportunities when stored in the inventory.
