Town of Redemption is a game set in the land of Ahras.
Ten years ago, the demon lord started their approach to conquer the land, but many heroes and armies are still fighting them as we speak… But you aren’t one of those; you were one of the few survivors of a destroyed village, a refugee of the war. After traveling for quite a while, you got to one of the biggest and safest cities in the country, one far south from the war that was happening. With no other choice, you decide to live there, and to your luck, the town’s adventurers guild is still looking for an alchemist. Grow stronger and better with your work and meet many adventurers and townsfolk, some just friendly neighbors, but some may be more. Take a look around and mix the ingredients from the merchant, make potions and trinkets that help the adventurers, or maybe, if the chance arises, you could help them discover new sides of themselves.

SO this update is first and foremost a rework and area update so don’t expect an incredible amount of new scenes.

All of the exsisting backgrounds have been reworked, the last traces of AI placeholders are gone with that annd all is drawn, speaking of wich, I really don’t like drawing backgrounds XD They took ages and I could have drawn like 3 scenes in the time of one background but that’s beside the point. There are also 3 new backgrounds you can now travel to, the marketplace, wich is now the place where Liz’s shop is instead of the mainstreet, the back alley, wich as of now is there just to traverse, and the shady store, that… Well the game will explain it when you get to that point. Now for the game changes and new, spoilers ahead:

2 new customers with each having 2 new customer interactions. 1 new customer with an introduction scene 1 customer with a full scene

4 new characters added to the game This also includes one of the new main NPCs, Nixon the shady moth, you can have him as customer the moment you reach level 5 and he will invite you to his store, there you can unlock the new feature of changing into different forms for a day at a time, this will be build upon more in the future of course, for now the only difference is that the NPCs if you talk to them have a different interaction to all forms, also having a preference towards one. A few smaller changes and QoL changes, as for example that instead of the customers being compleatly random you now have at least 1 special encounter each day, as long as you have the needed stats/affection with a character.

This update is bigger than the ones before, in content as well as in QoL, update includes:

2 compleatly new characters, that for now only appear as introduction and customer
4 new side cast transformations
5 new main cast transformation scenes
2 new side cast transformation scenes(Finally some side cast fun~)
11 new dialog options for the different characters, to find more story and more of other stuff!
4 new items, 2 of them being new ingredients( Juicy watermelon and soft wool) and 2 new things to craft with them.

That’s it with the new main content but wait, there are some heavily requested QoL changes:

All characters that have new not seen dialog or scenes will now have an exclamation mark beside them, so you know wich to talk to.
If you go shopping at Liz’s store you can now see how much you own of the item by hovering above it.
Lots more behind the scenes to improve the game.

The game has as of now around 30-40k words as a first version and offers a working crafting system, daily customers at your job, free roam over the three areas of the game and talking/getting to know the characters. You can do your work daily and rank up to get access to more ingredients at the merchant or simply stroll around and talk with npcs, though for most scenes you need to level up at least a bit.
