View of Family Resurrected – A Fan Remake [v0.1.7] [Aedos Games]

Having tried developing my own game for a while, I thought it would be best to start fixing a game I liked (but didn’t love). What started as a training exercise has turned into a labor of love. I’ve tried to post as much as I can so if you take issue with any of the design choices I’ve made please just pass this one by. Everyone else, I hope you enjoy!

About the Game:
View of Family – Resurrected is an immersive POV visual novel with open-world exploration. Embark on a journey filled with quests that allow you to dive into exciting adventures. Play as a 21-year-old man leading a seemingly ordinary life as a tutor, living with his two sisters, Nicole and Mia, and their mother, Emily. Along the way, you’ll encounter a variety of other intriguing love interests, each with their own unique story and dynamic. Navigate these relationships and unravel the connections between the characters. Can you win the hearts of the women around you and shape your destiny?

Release Notes:

The Gallery and Questlog have been temporarily disabled while they are being rebuilt from scratch. The screens from the original game were barely functional and full of errors. In the meantime the phone will provide a list of available scenes, however multiple play-throughs may be required to play them all, just as in the original game. When development of the new screens is complete, you should be able to play all scenes on a single play-through, and choose which LI’s you interact with, without loosing any content from others. v0.1.1 minor bug fix

Fixed an “unanticipated user behavior” issue. If you haven’t done Emma’s first tutoring session and you’re in your bedroom between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. ( 1800-2000), Emma should call you to ask if you’re still coming over. If she doesn’t, leave the room then go back into it. If you missed it, just sleep till the next day and try it again at the appropriate time. Should work no matter what choice you made in the kitchen in the morning.

v 0.0.7 Tech Demo

This is little more than a technical demo, despite the months and months of work that went into it. Hopefully includes enough content for each primary LI to at least give an idea what direction this will go in.

There is currently no content past day 1 so you may have to do multiple saves to see all available content.

Next steps:

There is a bug in the PREFERENCES, when trying to adjust the Textbox Opacity. Will update when I fix it.
Quick Menu is “OFF” by default. Don’t know if this should be on by default, but user can turn it on in the aforementioned PREFERENCES screen.
Need to learn better animation technology than original frame-swap
Want to re-do, enhance the PHONE screen, consolidate other game features that are currently spread throughout UI

Developer Notes:

There is not, nor will there ever be, NTR in my games. I don’t like sharing. The exception would be if at some point the MC chooses to cuck someone.
I don’t care to look at dicks, so can’t see having futa content anytime soon.
Lesbianism is NOT NTR, as long as the MC gets to watch 🙂 JMO
While I appreciate pregnancy and lactation as much as the next guy, I have not seen it handled effectively in any other game.

As previously stated, if it’s in the original, it should be included in this game. The plan is to bring the existing game into the 21st century, not destroy what is good about the original
A few people have expressed reservations about the new character designs. I respect that and suggest they not play if that’s the case. I spent over 2 months exclusively trying to learn DAZ (even though I had no access to the original assets) and realized if I stuck with it, the game wouldn’t see an initial release until 2027. I spent another 2 months exploring other technologies and settled on this combination of AI and Real Porn. I am capable and plan to do my own artwork for future games, but as of now everything else just takes too much time to allow me that luxury. Hope you guys give it a shot.
As this is my first full-scale project I cannot predict the release schedule yet, however the initial learning curve has been flattened significantly and most systems have been setup and refined.
Initial development was done on an old PC running Windows 7 Home, with Photoshop CS3. Any and all support (gratefully received) will initially go to Hardware/Software upgrades.
I ABSOLUTELY HATE not finishing what I start. While I cannot predict the future it’s not in my nature to have an abandoned project, especially since I already have strong outlines for my next 2 games

About the Original

Please keep in mind, as one fan has written, this is a Fan-REMAKE, not a Fan-DOTHESAMETHING.

What’s Changed from Original?:

Nearly everything has been touched EXCEPT the overall story-line and basic scenes.
Spent 4+ months exploring character options and technologies, settled on a combination of AI-Real Porn
Pulled a “Peter Jackson” on script (expanded, but didn’t remove, existing dialogue, added additional scenes to make character interactions more “realistic”
Developed a completely new UI, backgrounds, color scheme to make game play more realistic and improve playability
Reorganized supporting screens for enhanced usability
Removed the fucking “heartbeat-hover” effect and unnecessary tooltips from Enhanced mod’s code (sorry the66)
Added sound and background music
Probably a half-dozen other things I can’t remember at the moment

Support of Original Game(s):

You should use your own discretion on whether to support “the ones who blazed the path before us“. Both are listed under Game/Creator/Modder. While Marvel still has their Patreon page up, it hasn’t been active in over 5 years at last check. the66 on the other hand appears to be active (educated guess) and, just thinking, probably abandoned his Enhanced Mod for this game only because the original was abandoned.
