This is the very first pre-alpha build of Amorous 2! This prototype focuses on the Character Creator. All parts to create the base roster of Amorous 2 are available and you can save your creations, though there are still minor bugs as it’s an early build.Unlike the first game, you can now properly make female characters, have far greater control over your appearance and even modify the looks of NPCs upon release. This major update migrates the project to Unity 6, introducing a brand-new Job System, a comprehensive Talent/Perk tree, and a massive expansion to the world with the new Royal Mall. We have also overhauled the game launcher and started laying the groundwork for complex character interactions.
Here are the highlights:
Launcher & Tools
  • New Game Launcher: The launcher has been completely rewritten in .NET. This ensures higher compatibility with modern Windows versions and significantly improved security.
  • Dialogue Creator: We have built a custom Dialogue Creation Tool. This internal tool streamlines the writing process, allowing us to rapidly create and implement all in-game conversations.
New Feature: Job System
  • Work for Cash: We have implemented a fully functional Job System. Players can now take on “Quick Work” shifts to earn currency and manage energy costs.
  • New Jobs: Added assets and logic for “Burger Flipping” and the “Shark Shack” job.
  • Job UI: Dedicated UI for jobs (UI_OverworldJob) that includes timers, audio cues, and reward notifications.
New Feature: Talents & Perks
  • Talent System: Introduced a comprehensive Perk & Talent System. This includes a new backend framework for managing player progression.
  • Perk UI: Added a visual Perk Tree (UI_PerkNode) where players can view and unlock abilities. Nodes now react to hover events with scaling animations and sound effects.
Animation & Systems
  • IK Systems: Development has started on Inverse Kinematics (IK) systems specifically for NSFW minigames. This will allow for dynamic character positioning and interaction.
  • Vegetation Physics: Updated material properties for bushes, flowers, grass, and trees. Vegetation now reacts more dynamically to wind, with improved bend strength and wave scaling.
World & Shopping Expansion
  • New Location – Royal Mall: The “Fashion” scene has been renovated and renamed to the Royal Mall. This includes the new Fashion Store scene.
  • New Inventory Items:Added a massive wave of items to the shops:
    • Clothing: Athletic Runners, Disposable Socks, Hand Wraps, Under Armor Gloves.
    • Luxury & Utility: Bikes, Cars, Luxury Cars, Comfort Grips, and Extended Mags.
    • Consumables: 5-Hour Energy.
Technical & Quality of Life
  • Unity 6 Upgrade: The project has been updated to Unity 6.3, bringing the latest engine performance and rendering improvements.
  • Resolution Standard: Updated the Overworld UI Canvas to a standard 1920×1080 reference resolution for better consistency across screens.
  • UI Blur: Added dynamic background blurring. The screen will now smoothly blur when opening the Smartphone or Pause Menu to improve readability.

New Features & Gameplay
  • Shopping System Expansion: The shopping framework has been updated to support multiple vendors across the game world. While we have plans for several shops, Dingo’s Donuts is currently the first fully available store where you can purchase items.
  • Flight Mode: Implemented a new flight component (GC2Fly) for the player, including freeform flight states and animations, you can toggle it using the console command.
  • Expanded Stats: Added core player stats including Libido, Energy, Hunger, and Luck.
  • New Consumables: Added inventory support for items that affect stats, including Brownies, Double Shot Espresso, Protein Shakes, and Honey Glazed Donuts.
Performance & Optimization
  • IL2CPP Compilation: We have started compiling the game using IL2CPP. This significantly improves CPU usage, making the game run faster and smoother across all systems.
  • Shader Cleanup: We removed several deprecated shaders to streamline the rendering pipeline, resulting in better optimization on the GPU side.
  • DirectX Revert: We identified a severe memory leak caused by DirectX 12. To ensure stability, we have temporarily reverted the game to DirectX 11 until the issue is resolved on the engine side.
  • Texture Optimization: Massive improvements to memory management. All textures now utilize Mipmaps and have been compressed to significantly lower RAM usage without sacrificing quality.
  • Upscaling Tech: Added integration for FSR3 and DLSS4 to boost framerates on supported hardware.
UI & User Experience
  • Reactive UI: The HUD is now much more responsive. UI elements such as Money and XP displays now update instantly and smoothly to reflect value changes.
  • Ultrawide Support: Fixed UI scaling issues for players using Ultrawide monitors and other high-resolution displays. The interface now adapts correctly to different aspect ratios.
  • Resolution Picker: The resolution selection in settings has been improved to a cleaner Dropdown menu. We also filtered the list to show only relevant options based on your monitor’s supported resolutions and refresh rates.
  • Pause Menu Refactor: Refactored the Pause Menu for better layout and responsiveness.
Audio Overhaul
  • New Audio Manager: Implemented a robust Audio Manager and World Manager to handle complex sound transitions.
  • Dynamic Mixing: Added logic to adjust music and ambient volume dynamically based on whether the Overworld is loaded.
  • Voice Clips: Integrated a wide range of female voice clips for various actions (Attacks, Breath, Effort, Pain, Jump/Land, and Expressions).
