Lily’s bizarre adventure [Act 1 v2] [PontiffPomelo]
Hi,
This is the first version of my new top-down RPG made in Godot.
My goal is to make it similar, but not like the other ones . Quirky if you will.
The game is about a young woman in a dystopian magical world.
Her 20th birthday was supposed to be the happiest day of her life. But instead, she loses everything, only for her to travel back in time to the morning of this fateful day.
This is the story of Lily as she struggles against the authorities that try to keep her confined to her station.
It’s a story about freedom.

Full time-travel : Given the right magic, you can undo time, anytime, by any amount. (Though at the beginning you can only rewind to a fixed point in time.)
-
Female MC , but she’s a degenerate from the get-go
-
Quests, NPCs, dialogues, crafting, etc
-
Stats, skills, character-growth, transformation
-
Full visual equipment system in all CG and Character Sprites
-
No repetitive combat, no rape
-
All sounds and sprites are Open Source and the game is unencrypted ( Can be opened directly in Godot if you want to check out how it’s made )
Currently only ~20 minutes ( ~6000 words of dialogue ) of gameplay. Let me know what I should improve on! The start of any project is lonely 😀

The name is subject to change. It sounds too much like Jojo’s, which this is not a parody of. I just can’t think of anything else at the moment and wanted to get this out before I never do.
The face / hair of Lily will change over the updates. I wanted to copy the style of some images I had in my reference library ( https://f95zone.to.it/tales-of-divinity-rodinkas-lewd-adventures-v0-05-32-eromur-abel/ ) and change them slowly over time. After the huge backlash over the plagiatory nature of tracing the original art, even if used as placeholder art, I’ve now applied a hotfix that changed the 2dcg drastically, and hopefully reduces the resemblance to the original character. It’s rushed though, which is why things may still change. I still want to keep a similar style to rodinka’s, but I will now also try to combine it with other styles I find randomly on the internet, hopefully creating something new along the way.

F5 F9 is quicksave/load
Esc opens the main menu, where options can be found.
E is interact
Q is Quests
I is Inventory
R is cRafting
C is Character stats
Right clicking an item in the inventory opens up the context menu. Blue items are equipped. Equipped items cannot be used for crafting. Scroll up and down can revert the dialogue box, but it will stop at choices, including invisible ones (auto-evaluated choices). Shift skips seen dialogue. Shift also toggles run/walk (run is default). Spacebar in dialogues continues to the next page. Enter does the same, but will also select dialogue choices, so don’t spam that.
Always read the quest log. It’s the representation of a physical book in Lily’s pocket and tells half the story (especially in the cat’s quest).
